Our first park day:

We started off with breakfast at CBR food court. Not expecting much, we were pleasantly surprised. DH had an omlette with sausage and potatoes, which he said was very good. DD, DS, and I all got the child's breakfast platters, which had bacon (or sausage, if you prefer) scrambled eggs, potatoes, and bisquits. There was also a pan of gravy on the back of the beverage island.
We all left very satisfied and only spent $17.

Lunch was Pecos Bill's in MK.
We ordered two double cheeseburger combos and split between the four of us. We also got two large cokes and two large ice waters. The water is free, and not too bad if you add a slice of lemon. The toppings bar was wonderful. For our burgers, we got the usual lettuce, tomato, and pickles plus we also got sauteed mushrooms and onions. We dipped our fries in the cheese sauce that was also on the toppings bar.
We loved this place and planned to come back, although we never did. Lunch was less than $20.

Snack was the Dole Whip place in AdventureLand.
DH, DD, and I had pineapple floats, while DS had a chocolate/vanilla swirl. DH thought it was too sweet, but DD and I were hooked for life! If we had these around here, I'd weigh about 600 pounds! We did manage to come back here later in the week;)

Dinner was Columbia Harbour House in Liberty Square.
We all got fish and chips and took them upstairs to sit by a window and watch the people outside the Haunted Mansion while we ate. Food was hot, fresh and not at all greasy for fried food. Loved the nautical atmosphere and decor. Not your typical fast food joint. I think we spent around $30.

Dessert was from Main Street Bakery while waiting for Spectro.
DH had an apple charlotte, which looked delicious and he said it was. DD had a Mickey rice krispy treat. How can you go wrong with that? DS had a cupcake, which he mostly ate the icing off of, but he liked it. I had a wonderful apple turnover.

Day Two:

We had breakfast at Donald's Breakfastosaurus in Animal Kingdom.
We tried a little (OK, a lot!) of everything. Chocolate chip pancakes, buttermilk pancakes, breakfast pizza, hashbrowns, bacon; both crisp and not-so-crisp, sausage, DH had another omlette, apple crisp, donuts, and fruit. Everything was very good. We had a 10:00 ps and everything was still very fresh and hot. They kept bringing more out all the time we were there, and even came to our tables asking if we'd like more of anything.
We were visited by Pluto, Donald, Goofy, and Mickey. The first three were so much fun and stayed to "play" for a while. Mickey seemed more reserved and only came around once very briefly. Oh well. The pictures came out great anyway.
Excellent breakfast buffet. Lots of fun.

Dinner was 50's Prime Time Cafe at MGM.
Since we'd stuffed ourselves around 10:00 a.m., we weren't hungry for lunch. Instead, we got a 5:15 ps for dinner.
From the moment we walked in, the show started. "Mom" scolded us for being five minutes late and asked where we'd been. When I explained that we'd got caught up in the parade crowd, she said, "Well, you didn't plan very well, did you?" DH was totally caught off guard by this and thought we'd made a huge mistake in our dinner plans. I had to explain that it was all part of the act. We waited for a few minutes and watched The Donna Reed Show in the den/bar area. Such cool theming.
"Aunt Susan" was our waitress and really put on a great show for us. She told us how hard "mom" had worked preparing our meals and she recomended the fried chicken and the pot roast. DD and DS each got a bowl of chicken noodle soup and split the fried chicken. The soup was very good. Lots of chicken, veges, and noodles. Just like homemade. DH and I split the pot roast. They split everything in the kitchen for us, which we appreciated. This was still a lot of food! Plenty for everyone. DH and I loved our pot roast (almost as good as mine!) and the kids loved the chicken and mashed potatoes with gravy. The green beans were another story! You see, in Texas, we like our green beans cooked until there is no nutritional value left in them. To us, these were raw!
DS managed to get Dad to eat his but DD got caught with hers still on her plate! "Aunt Susan" tried to feed them to her, to everyone's amusement, but DD was too stuborn. Plus, she can hold her breath for a really long time! "Aunt Susan" finally gave in and let her have desert. DD and DH shared a banana split, I had a chocolate shake, and DS had a vanilla malt. His was by far the best. Very rich and smooth.
This is on our list of "must-do" restaurants for next time. We really enjoyed this dinner. I was worried about being "picked on" by the wait staff but it was all in good fun. Even DD had a good time and she does NOT like being singled out for any reason. Great theming and great food.

More to come...

Thanks for posting these. We always enjoy 50's Prime Time too.

Thanks for the reviews! Pecos Bills is a place I want to try. I love fries with cheese!

Thanks for the great report, I loved how you went into great detail about each restaurant. Peco's Bill is our favorite place to eat hamburgers at WDW, we eat here at least once on every trip. We also have to get a Dole Whip a couple of times on every trip, they are so good.

Thank you for your reviews.
We will be at 50s Prime Time on Tuesday, we will remember
about being on time! LOL

Glad you had fun :)

Thanks for sharing - wonderful reviews. We luv the 50s Prime Time Cafe also!!

Glad to see we folks in Alabama aren't the only ones that like our green beans cooked to death..

Thanks for the great reviews. I'm beginning to suspect that maybe the green beans are cooked that way just so there will be veggies left on your plate and "mom" can choo choo feed her "kids"! ;)

Enjoyed your reviews!
