JUST back - POR.

I'm glad your stay was great. POR is our favorite moderate. We have never been disappointed there. The grounds are truly beautiful as you noted. Even though we are DVC members now, we often try to stay there for a few days whenever we can get a good deal with our AP's. We are staying there in February despite the closed food court. Thanks for your positive review.

BTW, did you see Bob Jackson at the River Roost? Even when we don't stay at POR we make a point of getting over there for a drink (or two).

I never made it over to hear him and had every intention of doing this. To be honest, I just forgot all about it. Yeah, I guess it did sound pretty funny going from Germany by boat to Mexico and back to Memphis by afternoon.

Glad I could help some of you relax. It is a theme park and, as with any business, there will be some glitches; however, can you imagine the success of this organization? It's amazing to me that so many people travel through and it stays so clean! Relax and enjoy. Hope you all have a great day!

Not the OP but we took a carriage ride in July 2005 and really enjoyed it. We took the first one of the evening at 6pm and had plenty of time to get to our 7:30pm Ohana ADRs. Our kids liked it a lot too. HTH

Did not get a carriage ride - strongly considered it but seemed my son was a bit old to do that with me as he'd much rather hang out elsewhere. Saw several families on them and they seemed to be enjoying themselves. It was a nice addition to the ambience at the resort. Had it been my hubby and myself or had my son been younger I'd have booked it in a heartbeat.
