Just back POR 10/20-10/27 & MNSSHP - any ? just ask

We just returned from our glorious 8 day vacation in Disney and have rave reviews of our stay at POR, Pirate cruise, as well as our dining selections and rides/attractions at the Diney parks. Two things--it was HOT and it was crowded (at least more than we are used to). Anyway it was a great vacation, and thanks to all of you who helped with your various tips.

Glad your trip went well, we love POR! One question how would you rate the crowds on a scale of 1 - 10 (1 being low crowds and 10 being high crowds)? We will be arriving on Sunday and that is the one thing I am so nervous about. Thanks!

I think timing played a big part in the crowd size. MK has MNSSHP going on right now (which we attended), and EPCOT also has Food and Wine festival. I'll say compared to last time we were there (11/02) when we waited 10-15 minutes tops for most of the rides/attractions during the day, wait times reached 90 minutes for Tot, Splash Mountain, Test Track, Mission Space (new ride). For these rides we used Fast Pass, and had a shorter wait. Also we went to Blizzard Beach one day and waited nearly 40 mins for Summit Plummit. Lines for characater signing were also longer than we were used to. These times fluctuated slightly during the peak park times 10-5. The good news is that if you have the stamina to be at the park later, the ride times dropped significantly. Our kids do, and we were able to ride many of the rides we weren't able to, later on in the evening. Have a great time !
