Hello all, we just returned last night from our 6 day trip to the world. Just thought I'd give some info to all those with trips approaching who might find something helpful for their planning.

We were there from Monday, January 26th - Saturday, January 31st and we stayed at the new Pop Century resort. The weather was pretty good for our stay. We had an awful rain storm Tuesday night. Thankfully it was over by the morning so it did not affect our day. The only day it was really cold was Wednesday where I don't think the temp. got above 50. Other than that it was cool but nice. It did rain some on Friday and then it started up again Saturday as we were leaving in the late afternoon but no major downpours.

We thought Pop Century overall was a very nice value resort. The room seemed a tad smaller than the rooms at All Stars but I think I read somewhere that they are the same size??!! However it is an adequate size for a family of 4 with small children who don't plan to spend much time there. The a/c in our room never seemed to get cold enough for our tastes. The thermostat would only allow you to go to 68 and even then it didn't seem that cold. A few times in the middle of the night we were waking up hot. The beds weren't all that comfy but manageable. I had heard reports here of hearing toilets flushing & water running through the walls. We never heard this until our last night. Even then we really only heard it when we were in our bathroom. So perhaps the rooms around us were empty for most of our stay or we didn't hear it. We were not very happy with the food court. Breakfast for the most part was fine. Nothing that was supposed to be hot was really hot, merely warm. We had dinner here a few nights when we were too tired to eat elsewhere and we were pretty disappointed. The food was just OK and never was hot. I know it's only food court food but we've had much better at All Stars. We thought the bus service here was excellent! We never waited longer than about 10 minutes for a bus and most times we had no wait at all. We really liked the way they had set up cues instead of everyone cramming up in a mob to get on the busses at All Stars. Thursday night after staying late at MK we arrived at the bus stop to find what looked like half the park in front of us. I was so irritated. However within 10 minutes they had 6 buses show up bam, bam, bam. We were out of there! I was amazed! At one point there were 3 buses at the stop loading at the same time. Kudos to Disney for handling that one right! Our housekeeper Kathy was wonderful. Knocked on our door the first day to introduce herself and was just so sweet everytime we bumped into her. Of course DD loved everything she did with her toys while we were gone.

The MK seemed pretty crowded every day we were there. People seemed to be everywhere but the lines were good. Only 20-25 minute waits at the most. Even those were really more like 10-15 minute waits even though the posted time was more. Fantasyland was the exception every day except for in the mornings. Stay away from that area after 10:30 in the morning! :earseek:
All other parks seemed much less crowed and wait times were almost non existent. Wishes is just unbelieveble. This was my second time seeing it & it seemed even better this time! Sorry to ramble, if I can answer any questions just let me know. :earsboy:

Thanks for the info about PC. I will be there in five weeks from today! :jumping1:

Glad you had a good time :)

Glad you had a good time!! We saw Pop Century from MEARS when we were headed to ASMo in early January. It looked really cool. Wish we would have gone in and looked around. I really like the food court at ASMo and we choose to stay in the Value resorts because we go in, drop our stuff, hit the parks and only use the room to sleep and shower! Maybe someday we'll try a moderate resort!!

Thanks for all the info!! Welcome back to reality--kinda slaps you in the face, doesn't it!!
