Just back-Polynesian and Beach Club

We just returned from a 4 nt Polynesian/6 nt Beach Club trip. It was great! We are so sad to be home and eagerly awaiting the next trip in February and hoping to sneak a quick one in maybe in December.

At the Polynesian we stayed in the gardenview concierge. We are completely spoiled now! The service was fantastic and the lounge fabulous. We will defintely return!

The Beach Club was very good...there is still some construction going on. The quiet pool (which we like to use) was closed, and they tried to put us in a room which was currently undergoing renovation. They made up for the first room by giving us a room that had a waterview. Our only complaint about the BC was that houskeeping could have been better. They pounded on our door 3 times while we had the "privacy please" sign out since my dd was napping. We also requested the room to be made up while we were gone, and upon our return about 4 hours later, the room was not made up. This happened three times.

All in all, a great trip!

Thanks for the report. Would you elaborate on your room situation at the Beach Club? Did they try to put you in a room that they were working on while you were there? Also, do you know how close they are to completing the room rehabs?

Hi Misti, they did indeed try to put us in a room that they were working on! Plastic on the carpet, wet paint, etc. I'm confused as to why it wasn't blocked from inventory. We didn't ask when they would be done. Apparently the quiet pool will be closed for several months-the person we asked came in to work and found it down with no warning. The renovated rooms are quite nice-shades of khaki, a little gold, very breezy feeling although I loved the blue bedspreads they used to have. My dd was nuts over the Mickey lamp on the desk. We did see some small projects going on in the hallways too...we were on the third floor.
