Just back - Poly and AKL- any questions?

Just got back from 8 nights - 4 at the AKL and 4 at the Poly - with my DH, DD who is 3 1/2 and DD who is 2.

Had a Savannah view at the AKL - 2471 Zebra trail. However, did not see very many animals. The resort is truly beautiful, the pool is huge and the restaurants are great. The room was very small - especially for a deluxe resort.

At the Poly, had Tahiti 1036 - lagoon view. I will probably always stay at the Poly in the future - absolutely incredible! Our room was right next to the Ticket and Transportation center and we were able to park our car about one minute away. The kids loved walking out onto the beach in the morning to feed the ducks (it was probably their biggest thrill on the trip). The room was quite large - especially compared to the AKL. The pools were nice (although not as nice as AKL). The restaurants were quite good and I simply loved walking out of the room at night and looking at Cinderella's castle and the Grand Floridian in the distance. Truly magical.

Could you tell me how the lobby looks at the Poly? The last time we were there they were doing major rehab on the fountain. How does it look??? Thanks!

We stayed at the POly in Aug. in Tahiti 1025, 1030 and 1031. I agree that the view is amazing and can't be beat. We found for the 1st time that the resort was a main focus of the vacation. We looked forward to ending the day on our patio watching the fireworks and then going for a swim. So glad you enjoyed you stay. It will be hard to outdo!

Thanks for sharing about the Poly. DH and I have stayed at WL three times and thinking about trying the Poly. I think we will try it next trip.

Tell me, was it as beautiful as always? Everytime we pull up to the security gate I can feel the tension leaving my entire body
Are they really working on the Lobby?

They were not working on the lobby. I recall from some older threads that all work on the fountain was done about 2 months ago.
