My DS11 my DH and Me.

Fourth of July
Left home at 800 am, and drove to WDW. Arrived at POFQ about 930Am, checked in, no line. The reservation clerk, could not have been less cheery, and it kind of set the tone for the week at this resort, Our room was not yet available, but she checked us in, gave us the "code" to use when we called to find out our room number and off we went. The resort is pretty, but a little too cramped I thought.

Our first stop was Epcot,We bought our AP's, and We couldn't wait to do Soarin, unfortunately we would have too.....Fast Pass was gone, and the standby wait was 60 min. We had decided before we left home we would not wait on any line longer then 20 min.

It was pretty crowded, so we went to see Ellen and Bill Nye the science guy. We always enjoy this ride, then off to see Figment for my DS. Not the same since they changed it, but he enjoyed it. Also watched Honey I shrunk the audience.

Then we went to SpaceShip Earth and rode it two times in a row, one of my DS's favorites. Called our hotel and our room was ready, so we went back to POFQ. We were in building two, a smoking room. The room was clean, and the theming to the resort was nice. The grounds seem well taken care of. Our refrigerator was not working, so we called Maintanence and someone was there in about 20 minutes to look at it, she said they werent very strong fridges, but it should work if we left the door open on the piece of furniture it was in. We did as suggested and left to go to dinner at Cape May.

Cape May was wonderful, All of the food was terrific except for the peel and eat shrimp, it was pretty watered down. Clams and mussels, were good, and the New England Chowder was excellant. The Oreo Bon Bons were to die for. They charged as for two adults and 1 child, as we had made our PS before July 1, so I was happy about that.

We walked over to Epcot to see Illuminations, but it had started to rain lightley, and there was some lightening, so we decided to leave it for another night, we did see MGM's fireworks from the bridge in Epcot.

We ran over to Goodings so we could get some Milk etc,by this time it was pouring and returned to our hotel. Stopped at the food court to grab a cup of coffee and to see what thier offerings were. Kind of dissapointed because unless you want Pizza or Pasta, you really cant get anything substantial at this resort in the evening. Well our fridge still wasnt working, and we called again to Maintenence and they told us they would come in either two hours (1am) or they could come in the morning. We packed the fridge with Ice and hoped for the best, and opted for the morning.

We were pretty tired so we decided to call it a night and off to sleep we went.
