Just back from a FANTASTIC and MAGICAL trip to WDW. Here are some quick highlights from the trip:

-AKL-absolutely beautiful. All of my room requests were met. Proximity to AK is great but a distance from the other parks. Food at Maras and Bomas was great. Loved the zebra domes.

-BWV-unbelieveable!!!! This was our first DVC stay and this resort passed all our expectations. The room (1 bedroom) was great, pools were fun, location is amazing and the other activities whether at Community Hall or the Boardwalk was endless. We loved this resort.

Trip highlights:
-My 3 yr. old son was picked to be Belle's father in the Belle's storytime in the gardens at MK. What a moment!!!
-My 8 yr. old was picked prior to the MGM parade to play the part of Darth Vader to warm up the crowd..he loved it!!!
-Weather.....typical Florida weather but it didn't cancel any of our plans.
-Crowds...not too bad. I still think the crowds in July are not as bad as the Easter break crowds.....
-Chef Mickey's-we were thrilled on Sat. 7/12 to have 2 special guests at Chef Mickeys...Donald Duck and Rabbit from Pooh.
-Loved the opening morning show at the MK where the train comes into the station with Mickey and friends. Got tears in my eyes watching the show....never knew this show existed!
-H&V Fantasmic Package-Food was good, not great but the ability to not wait in the theater for 2 hours was worth it!!!!
-Crystal Palace Dinner-great as usual
-Princess Storybook Breakfast-Jasmine, Belle, Mary Poppins, Mulan and Sleeping Beauty...food and location was fantastic.
-Primetime Cafe-the best smores on the planet!!
-Charm Bracelets-made one for my niece, mom and myself. These things are great!!! I have one with Cinderella themed charms (my favorite movie) and my name...what a keepsake!

Can't wait to go back!

The boardwalk villas have definately spoiled me and I don't know if I could stay anywhere else...

Any questions please let me know.......

Could you tell me where you made your charm bracelets?

Thanks,

They are available in a variety of stores. We found them in the following:

-Mouse Gears in Epcot
-Main Street Emporium
-Boardwalk Screen Door General Store
-Main Store in Toon town

They have a large display where you can make charm bracelets, necklaces or key chains...prices are pretty reasonable.

Bracelet was $8.00
Necklace was $12.00 and then the charms I think were $3.00 a piece.
The keychain was less.

The bracelets and charms are silver.

Welcome back! Glad to hear you all had just a wonderful trip! Isn't AKL and BWV just awsome! I love the opening show at MK too...gives me goosebumps!LOL

Thanks for sharing, especially about BWV. I have had a hard time finding info and insights on the BWV.

We are going to be at the BWV in a 2 bedroom for the first time for a week in November, and I just can't wait to get there. I was thinking yesterday that I should see if we could get changed over to BCV (due to the SAB), but I keep finding positive reports on BWV so for now I'm leaving things as they are.

What view did you have at BWV? Did you have daily housekeeping? Is the air conditioning the kind with the motion detectors (like at BCV)? Was it very noisy? Some people complain about noise from the Boardwalk. How was it at the pools?

We are also going to the PSB and I was glad to hear you enjoyed it!

Thanks!!

We loved the Boardwalk. We had a 1 bedroom standard view unit. It was located on the 1st floor with a walk out to the pools (which I had requested)....our view was of the quiet pool which is located behind the Main Clown Slide Pool. It was never noisy at night but we did not face the Boardwalk.

The only thing we did heard at night was the entire Fantasmic Show from MGM...which we loved. We would sit out on the patio or while we were swimming and listen to the show....not the same as being there but still enjoyable.

We are DVC members so did not have daily cleaning, which was find. If we needed anything we just asked a maid....the came in and cleaned mid week.

I don't think the AC had motion detectors, but my husband was in charge of that.

Enjoy your stay!
