Jiko and Cali Grill! Cali Grill is #1 but Jiko was excellent as well. We also ate at 1900 Park Fare, Chef Mickey's, Kona Cafe, and Le Cellier. Le Cellier was probably our 3rd favorite and the rest were just okay. Service at Kona was not great. The buffets were adequate, but nothing special.

Just wanted to pass this on to those of you making ADRs!

Oh thank you so much! We are going in 16 days and I have Jiko booked for my b-day and Cali Grill another night.

What did you order at both places?

Thanks so much for the info. I havent been to Cali Grill in a few years and I am going in November for my bday. I have been looking so foward to this night out. Thanks for your report! :)

I agree with you about the service at Kona. We were there last week and our server forgot to bring out beverages and disappeared for long periods of time.
Jiko is high on our list when we go in June so thanks for your opinion, we hear many good things about it.

I just tried Cali Grill for the first time last week - it was amazing! My family said that will be a must-do for every trip now. We decided on Boma instead of Jiko, but I wish we had picked Jiko instead. Oh well, we can do that one next time!

Just out of curiosity, what did you eat at Cali Grill? We're eating there for the first time in November and I'm trying to get an idea of what I might be interested in ordering.

:goodvibes

At Cali, I ordered the pork tenderloin. I can't remember what DH ordered and he's in the air right now so I can't call him to ask. The goat cheese polenta that came with the pork was delish!

At Jiko, I ordered the halibut (also wonderful). DH had the ribs (he loved them).

Our kids were fine at both (17mos. and 5.5). The kids' menus had selections that they both enjoyed (and DD5 is picky). Cali seems a little bit more upscale, but there were many other children besides ours.

I do think that both places are 2 credits on the Dining Plan, but we didn't use the plan so I'm not positive on that one.

I hope I answered all of your questions. Enjoy your dinners!

Thanks for sharing your experience. We're looking forward to going to Jiko next summer when we'll have the TIW card. I also agree with your opinion of the service at Kona. It was the only negative service experience on our trip last April. The food was excellent though.
