Just back - our best decisions!

What you did sounds so much like the plans I have in place for the second week of June. I have never done a PPO, so I am excited for our breakfast. Thanks!!

Can easily be done. Last year after an 8 am BOG breakfast, we rode 7DMT twice, PP, Pooh and were entering HM all before 9:30. We ordered a full breakfast each because I didn't know we could order less (coffee and a muffin would've done me fine), so it was an expensive meal for what we got. Regardless, it was worth it to be able to do so much so early in the morning. And the topper, I loved missing the RD crowd commute! :flower1:

I'm making my ADR's in a few weeks and I'm wondering how the early mornings paid events will influence ride access for pre-opening ADR's? Is this still going on?

Not sure about how long those are taking place, but I intentionally didn't book a pre opening adr on the days having EMH or the paid early morning event either.

I would love to have breakfast at BOG before park opening but have two teenage girls where mornings just do not agree with them. They never eat breakfast nor get up early. Might have to go one morning without them!

the best part of teenage is they can get themselves to the park later :) go enjoy your breakfast they don't care about ... (it might also snap them out of not caring after you do it once)..

I can see myself doing the PPO breakfast. I love getting so much accomplished before noon.

All of these have been said many times before, but after just coming back from a wonderful and magical trip, I thought I would share some of our best decisions!

#1. By far, the best decision was to start day 1 at MK with a pre park BOG reservation at 8:05 -' on a 9:00 opening day. We enjoyed a stroll down Main Street with very limited crowds and fantastic pictures in front of the castle. We ordered our food ahead of arrival and we were seated promptly after arriving. We were able to get out by 8:45 and get immediately on 7dmt without a fp+ reservation. We then proceeded to knock out Peter Pan and small world - there was NO ONE in line yet. It was like we had the park to ourselves. We also went on haunted mansion, big thunder mountain, pirates and Aladdin all before our fast passes started at 11! We were able to see and do so much that day because of the early entry and the breakfast was good.

#2. dinner at Tusker house at 6:30 when the park closes. While we weren't riding anything when we finished our meal, it was such a cool experience to practically walk out of AK by ourselves and get some neat pictures with great light. Plus the dinner was excellent and character interaction was fantastic. This is how we ended our trip.

#3. Star Wars launch bay and fireworks. If you are a Star Wars fan, the Kylo Ren interaction for the meet and greet was amazing. Chewy was awesome, too! They have done a great job with launch bay and we all had a great time interacting with the roaming jawas in the halls (kids and adults!). I realize they are changing the Star Wars fireworks, but they did a knock out job and I'm sure the new fireworks will be just as great or even better.

#4. Adjusting as needed. While we planned out our days for the parks, fast passes and adrs, we were still flexible enough to let things happen and make changes on the fly. This let us truly enjoy our time together.

*Edited - our first fast pass was at 11 not 10. I just doubled checked our pictures and we did Swiss family treehouse at 10:30 after pirates and had pictures with rafiki at 10:55.

Thank you disneyfam31 for the great information. I have a similar plan in July. I have a question about getting to 7DMT. When you left BoG, which way did you go to get to the ride entrance?

So far, those haven't been extended and you can look up the existing dates under dining on the WDW site. However, I've seen reviews that on those days, people at BOG got out and onto the ride at 8:45. People from the Morning Magic event were using FP line, BOG people went through the standby line (little to no wait) and that poster got one ride with no wait. Rushed back through the line with 20 min wait, by the time they finished the second ride, waits had increased to the usual crazy levels.

This is great to hear! I have an 8:10 with just me and my daughter because my husband doesn't eat breakfast, and there is nothing on the menu my son will eat. We are planning on spending the morning at MK until about 10:30am and then heading over to meet the boys at AK for the afternoon. We will make our FP at AK that day.

When you leave BOG, the queue will be forming 20 yards in front of you. Can't miss it :)

Thank you. Didn't want to do all this planning to make a stupid mistake. And this way, I look like I know what I am doing in front of my family.
