We just got back on Sunday after 3 weeks in Florida,
any quesrions (trip report coming) :

spent 2 days in Cypress Gardens
No rain
stayed 2 weeks at Celebration World Resort
1 day at Typhoon Lagoon
Several days resort hopping
5 day hopper in Disney Parks
drove from NH

How did you like Celebration World Resort? Any info would be appreciated.

how were the crowds/lines? how bad did you think the effect of the dining plan was? did you do any of the EMH nights-how were those-crowded or not?

We just got back on 8/27 and we thought the crowds were manageable. As long as we were at the parks early and used FP's we were able to go on everything we wanted (sometimes twice!). In the MK on Sat. 8/26 the crowds were very light - it seems the trend was heading towards a lighter crowd level as we were leaving. Most people we met during the week were from the NE where the kids weren't back to school yet.

The most crowds we encountered were on Mon. 8/21 at MGM which had a EMH that night. It was so crowded that we left after our dinner and returned later in the week. After that we avoided the evening EMH's.

We liked "Celebration World Resort" a lot. It was a smaller resort and we were a short walk from the pool/clubhouse which also had wireless internet (they also had a PC available). That didn't have a lot of activities but the ones they had we took advantage of. The activities were a great value. My daughter had a hair wrap (usually $1.50 an inch for a total of $3, free pizza and bingo party, free pizza and movie night, $1 ice cream social, $1 snow cone social, plus more). The unit (ours was a 2-bedroom) was huge with a hot tub, full kitchen and washer/dryer. The place was very clean and kept up.

We were off-site so we didn't use either the food plan or the EMH nights but we joined up with my sister's family who were staying at the Poly and they used both. She said the food plan was good for her family because they ate a lot and it gave them a chance to try places they normally wouldn't (Hoop De Doo Revue and California Grill). The big mistake she made was not making reservations ahead of time. They had problems eating were they wanted to when they tried to walk in the day they were eating. She said the EMH hours were very crowded. They got most of the rides done in the last hour of EMH as people left the park.

Overall the MK wass the most crowded but still very managable. The other parks were a lot less crowded. The mornings (before noon) were not crowed at all.
