Hi DIS friends, :sunny:

We just got back from 9 days at WDW. Our family's first trip. We had a GREAT TIME.

POLY -- wonderful, wonderful hotel. Had the garden view. Don't remember which building though. Love the monorail access. But the smell in our bathroom, smelled like salty water was a little strong.

SHADES of GREEN -- husband and kids went for a walk to SoG and they commented how nice that resort and would love to stay there at our next trip.

WEATHER -- mostly warm and sunny, in the high 60's and 70's, wore shorts and short sleeves. In the morning, around 8:00 a.m., needed a light jacket and then again at night. ONe day, Sunday, it was cold and windy... in the 50's.

EMH -- we only did this twice and only in the morning...one for Magic Kingdom and the other for Studios... IT WAS GREAT. Only around 300 to 400 people at each opening. HIghly recommend it.

CROWDS -- again not to bad, very very light crowds each morning until around noon, then it got heavier. I strongly suggest get to each park at opening time.

REFURBISHMENTS -- two things -- most of you probably already know this. In Magic Kingdom, according to CMs, between Dumbo and Toon Town, there will be a 100 acre woods playground of Winnie Pooh theme. We heard the construction going on. Also, the green wall in front of the castle, they're building a circular stage.

HIGHLIGHTS ---

The awe of Main Street, the awe of Cinderalla's castle, Winnie the Pooh, Peter Pan, Spectra Magic parade, WISHES, awed in Tinkerbell's flight from Wishes, the 3:00 parade, the opening ceremony at Magic Kingdom, Buzz Lightyear, Fastasmic, the awe of Grand Floridian grounds, theming of Prime Time, Crystal Palace, Chef Mickeys, seeing my daughter in awed of the princesses, watching the Cinderalla in the 1900 restaurant give so so so much attention to the little girls, seeing around 100 characters, my husband loving the water mice, and the entire 9 days.

SURPRISES --

these are rides and events that I was suprised by and are underrated. I enjoyed the Carasoul of Progress, TTA, the Great Movie Ride, It's a Bug's Life, Spaceship Earth, Universal Energy, the Maelstrom ride, the Mexico boat ride. Also, plenty and plenty of restrooms everywhere. ANd lastly, my toddler lost his shoe (where I don't know) and guess what, the very next day it was at the Lost and Found at TTC. Thank goodness.

DOWNERS --

On our rest day, we waited 50 minutes for the Downtown bus to come to the Poly. Never came, so we gave up. During this time, we saw 3 Animal Kingdom buses and 4 MGM studios buses. I tried the Turkey legs and I didn't like it. Also, WDW needs to tear down the Galaxy thearte in tomorrowland, it's shabby and tathered.

ANd lastly, my kids and husband enjoyed all the thrill rides....I wasn't able to do them cuz of my pregnancy condition.

Have a great trip to everyone who's coming up!
