We returned late yesterday from our stay at CSR (1st night) and OKW.
As for CSR...it was okay, but we wouldn't choose it again. We requested a room close to the main pool and got just what we asked for. The resort is very nice, but just too spread out for us and not a theme that appeals to us much. The room itself was clean and acceptable, but I don't like having full size beds. The food court was expensive for what you got and we weren't overly impressed with the quality. It was packed with people the night we were there and the service was very slow. I didn't like having a 10% tip included for what is basically a fast food restaurant. All in all though, there was nothing hugely wrong with the resort but nothing really impressive either.
We had a 2 br villa at OKW and it was wonderful! We stayed in 1332 which fit exactly what we had requested...close to the Hospitality House and main bus stop. Now that I know the bus system at OKW I would never request to be close to the main bus stop again though. It's the last stop to be picked up and the last stop to be dropped off, which makes for very crowded busses in the mornings and long trips back in the evening.
I'm a great defender of the WDW bus system, but not this time.
Several times, especially for EE parks, the busses arrived so late that it was impossible to get to the park and through security until well into the EE hour. Also on these days, the busses were packed with standing room only by the time they arrived at the main stop. We didn't care for the transportation at OKW at all. The service we had at WL during Christmas was vastly better than OKW.
That's unfortunate because we loved the resort. The villa was huge and it was so nice to have separate bathrooms/bedrooms. We used the kitchen quite a bit and I even used the washer once!
The staff at OKW were pleasant enough, but nothing really outstanding or overly friendly. Maid service was spotty...some days they did things I never would expect such as load/unload the dishwasher. Other days it didn't appear as though they had even vacuumed the floors.
We had a great time though and can't wait to get back to WDW soon! I'd be happy to answer any questions!
