Just Back - My thoughts

Does this look familiar?lol:)

OMG!! Yes!!!

Yes, moleskin need to be applied to your foot, not the shoe. You cut a piece out in the shape of the blister you want to cover, and place it over the blister so the fuzzy side is touching your skin, then you can either hold in place with a band-aid or preferably, cut another piece of moleskin larger than the first and place that over the whole thing sticky side down (so that it covers the smaller piece of moleskin and sticks to your skin).

The only issue with this is if the bandaid comes up, then so does the moleskin. In my own experience, we've found the moleskin is stickier and stays put better than any bandaid we've ever used. If we have a full on blister, we will put a bandaid over it and the moleskin on top of the bandaid, sticky side down. This way, the more skin stays in place, helps keep the bandaid in place, and the adhesive of the moleskin isn't ripping at your blister.

Seems like there's no right or wrong way to use moleskin though, so whatever works for each person!

Which is why I said it is preferable to use a second piece of moleskin over the first.

I'd unsubscribe from anyone who did that. But I won't even join Facebook, so don't judge by me. I'm glad you have an extended network that was able to share that way.
Honestly, I do like to see a few posts from friends enjoying themselves on vacation but I would absolutely go nuts if someone posted every plate of food or every time they got on line for a ride. It clogs up my newsfeed.

So Blizzard Beach got busier faster than Typhoon Lagoon in the morning? Was this a repeated occurrence, or just a one off observation?

For our trip coming up very soon... we like Typhoon Lagoon better anyway, but wanted to also hit Blizzard beach too.

We planned to go from open until lunch, and then head to a park, or back to the resort and then a park.

Just adding to the moleskin ideas...

When I have a hot spot or a blister already formed, I use molefoam that is thicker than moleskin. I cut it into a donut shape and place it sticky side to the skin with the raised blister or hot spot in the middle. I might or might not cover it. The idea is to have the molefoam to be just a little higher than the blister or hot spot so it doesn't feel the pressure.

Another way to use moleskin if you already have a blister so to cut it in a doughnut shape with a hole in the center for the blister. The sticky part sticks to your skin around the blister and protects the blister.

Shoot yeah...the longest walk we've ever had? Animal Kingdom Lodge- Kidani. The walk was so bad we will never stay there again for fear of having a room at the end of the mile long hallway. It was brutal.
we are staying here for the first time. i am handicapped so i am trying to stay closer in to the main bldg , we are in the Jambo house? i guess we have to just trust them, i also hope im not so close that i see people and not animals from the balcony..i know never to stay in the kidani, sorry that happened ;(

We only went to Blizzard Beach that one time. It was busy right from the opening and got progressively worse till we finally left shortly after noon time. Typhoon Lagoon we spent from 9-1pm and the whole time it never felt overwhelmingly crowded. I am not sure if either of these is a normal experience or not...

If that happens again,call Maintenance.:)

Setting 6 on the All-Star fridges will keep things a "little" cold!lol:)

Possibly in the handicapped accessible rooms but we were in a regular room both times we stayed at AKL. Jambo House shouldn't have the walking distance issues that Kidani does though, just FYI!

We stayed value our first time and it was okay. We liked the resort but I'd rather do a moderate the next time (and we are we have our next trip booked at a moderate). The walk was long to the room and to the buses staying value, but we did have a hair dryer. I think every hotel room does. I would've asked about it if it wasn't there.

Moleskin works really well if you put it directly on the foot. I tried blister band aids too and moleskin was better. The blister band aids were too sticky and would pull skin off sometimes.

I kind of agree about frogg toggs. My boyfriend works outside and he swears by them, but I didn't think it did much for me it felt kind of cool at first then kind of hot, damp, and gross afterwards.

I wasn't able to tell if you really liked the Tiki room, or hated it. We happen to love it, and are glad they changed it back to its original state.

When did they change it? What is the original state? My mom and I love the Tiki room but hated Iago when they redid it. Is he still there?

Our A/C at home is typically set to 60 so 68 was very warm for us. I guess it does vary based on person's comfort level.
I'm jealous! It's just too darn expensive in Florida to put the air where I'd really love it, given that the A/C is working so hard 9 months out of the year. I have to keep it at 78 by day and "splurge" by setting it at 75 at night or our bills would be outrageous. And even then it runs almost continuously to keep the house at that temp.

Just so much humidity in addition to the heat down here. I deal with it through fans and a little portable A/C unit for my office.
