Just back...MOSQUITO'S TERRIBLE

I wonder what is different this year. In five years I don't think I have ever seen a bug at WDW (except at ITTBAB ). I have often commented on what a great job they do of pest management, but seems not this year. You guys got me itching here in Chicago reading this. Hope they are gone in December.

Last Nov. I got bit BAD and forgot the repellant! I leave in 8 days and will pack it now!

I have never been to WDW in October, but I must say that if you are going to be out at night, use repellent! We went to MK last Sunday to see Wishes. We had some time so we decided to hit the Haunted mansion. While waiting near the tombstones, in that dark, overgrown area near the water, the mosquitos were amazingly bad. When the doors opened to let us in, EVERYONE ran in. Almost bolled over the CM. The mosquitos were still biting in the Anteroom during the pre-ride show.

Back on Main Street,during Wishes, I did not get a single bite.

I think for sure, if you are anywhere near water, you will need some bug dope.

Then again, on the beach outside Beaches and Cream the other night, there were no mosquitos around. There might have been a breeze though.

I agree with all that say to be sure to protect yourself. Even if you do not get something as serious as West Nile Virus or something like that, you can get enough bites to be completely miserable for a couple days.

We were there Oct 12-19 at FW, which is probably worst than most places and my legs and ankles were covered with bites. I was itching all the way home.

We just got back last night, I always take off but this is the first trip I had to use it.

DH and I were there this past weekend, and I got bitten while watching Illuminations, and while watching Wishes. In previous years, we never noticed a single mosquito. Hubby still hasn't! I just must be sweeter than him...

This sounds awful! I wonder if it will still be a problem at the end of this month (?). We'll be taking the repellant, just in case.
