Day 1, Epcot
  • Sunshine Seasons, The Land: Breakfast Panini and Cinnamon French Toast Bread Pudding was good
  • Yukon Holiday Kitchen, Canada: Seared Salmon was AMAZING. Meat Pie was OK..the holiday spices threw me for a minute.
  • UK Beer Cart, UK: Magner's Pear Cider is the best cider I've ever had. Really good.
  • L'Artisan des Glaces, France: Mango Sorbet was very good. Husband loved the Gingerbread ice cream.
  • Katsura Grill, Japan: Awful.
  • Cart, Japan: Ice Cream Mochi...unusual and I'm glad I tried it once.
  • Hokkaido Holiday Kitchen, Japan: Soba Noodles and Strawberry drink were a big hit.
  • Moorish Cafe and Pastry Shop, Morocco: Chocolate Baklava and Tangerine Smoothie. Baklava was OK but the smoothie had very little flavor. Service was poor here, too.
  • Popcorn Cart near The Land: Sour Cream and Chive was good. Didn't care for cheddar.
Day 2, Animal Kingdom
  • Kusafiri, Africa: Elephant Ear and Breakfast Wrap were both very good.
  • Yak and Yeti Counter Service, Asia: Korean BBQ was good but way too spicy for me. Hubby said it was just right.
  • Sa'tuli Canteen, Pandora: Beef bowl with potato hash and herb dressing was soooo good. Tried all three desserts (they had a holiday one). Chocolate mousse continues to be my favorite with the holiday one coming in third.
  • Pizzafari, Discovery Island: Pizza and garlic knots. My kids said both were awful.
Day 3, Epcot
  • Biergarten, Germany: Everyone agreed it was all excellent. Kids and husband loved the grapefruit beer.
Day 4, Magic Kingdom
  • Cheshire Cat Pastry in Fantasyland: Everyone who tried them liked them.
  • Sleepy Hollow, Liberty Square: Nutella Fruit Waffles were a huge hit. The chicken and waffle is apparently kind of spicy.
  • Roaring Forks, Wilderness Lodge: Campfire Cupcake was fun and the burgers were a hit.
  • Contempo Cafe, Contemporary Resort: Italian Beef sandwich was AMAZING!
Day 5, Hollywood Studios
  • Hollywood & Vine: Eh. I wanted the Fantasmic! passes and the meal was OK. Nothing spectacular.
Day 6, Magic Kingdom
  • Kona Cafe, Polynesian: WORST meal I've ever had on property.
  • Popcorn Cart, Frontierland: Maple Popcorn was good!
  • Captain Cook's, Polynesian: Burgers were very good.
Day 7, Departure
  • Sassagoula Float Works, Port Orleans French Quarter: Mickey Waffles!
Snacks we tried and don't remember where we bought them...
  • Cream Cheese Stuffed Pretzel VERY good
  • Churro Popcorn

VERY surprised that Kona was the worst meal you've ever had on property. I can't imagine that.

I've only eaten at Kona for breakfast, and loved it. But I could never get myself to eat there for lunch or dinner...the menu doesnt appeal to me AT ALL. :crazy2: And im not a fussy eater. Glad to hear im not missing anything. Lol. But im sorry you had a bad meal.

What did you have at these places?

Biergarten, Germany: Everyone agreed it was all excellent
I wish our lunch was! My personal experience can be described as adequate. The food was edible but poorly executed, except for the berry compote. It was the only thing that my non-picky kids enjoyed. I was disappointed in everything I tried but DH thought it was fine.

I still want to try for a breakfast for that Tonga Toast.

That tonga toast is SO GOOD! :cloud9: If you like sweet stuff, you'll love it. However if you're the type that complaints about desserts etc being too sweet, you might have an issue. It really is delish though. I ate it alone, with minimal strawberry sauce or maple syrup. It was really good even without any of the sauces.

Katsura Grill we had the Shrimp and Chicken Teriyaki and the Tonkotsu Ramen. I called the chicken here "jujubee chicken" because it stuck to my teeth like those candies when I was chewing.

Kona...I forgot that we had the crab cakes and those I did love. Mango-Goat Cheese Stuffed Chicken Breast was my entree. I substituted mashed potatoes for the rice and the potatoes were very cold. Also, I was expecting bits of macadamia nut for the "crust" not huge chunks. It was overcooked and cold. Husband had Island Style Beef Burger and he was pleased.

I JUST discovered this on our last trip in November and I agree, I love it!

Kids and husband loved the grapefruit beer.
Love this too :)

We've done breakfast and lunch at Kona and were not impressed with either, although lunch was better than breakfast. It's just one of those places the majority love but isn't for everyone; we have no desire to go back for any meal there.

Just chiming in that our dinner at Kona last August was less than impressive. I didn’t like the setting and the food was ok to average. It’s not high on our list of places to be back.

We tried Kona for breakfast a few years ago and it was/still is the worst meal we've ever had on property too. Terrible service and cold/hard food.

Yes! Breakfast at Sunshine Seasons is our favorite stop after a rope drop morning at Epcot.

I don't know why there isn't a similar offering at each of the parks.

Biergarten, Germany: Everyone agreed it was all excellent. Kids and husband loved the grapefruit beer.

Agree! After many years of avoiding Biergarten, don't remember why, we were invited to join some friends there for lunch one day. My mind was changed. It is an excellent place to get plenty of good food.

Thanks for the review.

Yum, Biergarten!

It is the favorite of my entire family. Very authentic, extensive buffet. Like eating at my great-grandma's again!
