We just got back last night from our WDW trip. We went to MGM to see the Osbourn's lights. We were there in Dec 2001 and it was set up differently. It was wonderful to see the lights but I think I like how it was set up in 2001 better.

We also saw the Narnia set. It was really nice. You walk into the room and there is the wardrobe there. Then you walk through the wardrobe and walk into a winter Narnia scene. Then you watch some scenes from the movie and then see some props from the movie. It isn't anything too big, but it's worth it if you're going to be at MGM.

Wow...we missed the Narnia set....we would have liked to seen that!! Where was it at?

There was nothing on the parks' map listing this. The only reason I looked for it is because I read something on the DISboards about it. I can't tell you where it was located, because I really don't remember (sorry). We just kinda walked into it. First, we saw a spot where you can take a picture with the winter background. So, I just assumed that was all there was. Then, as I was walking away, I noticed a sign that said something about visiting the Narnia set. I asked someone (not a CM, just someone who was standing there) if he knew where this set was and he said they didn't have it there. Well, we walked around the corner, and it was there. So we stood in line not knowing what to expect. So, I'm not sure where it was, but I'm thinking it was in the spot on the map that read something like, "Behind the Scenes".

Maybe someone who knows the parks better can help out if the exact location.

With respect to the Osbourne Lights display.... Is it 'snowing' during the walk thru of the lights (it has in past years)?

Just wondering.. I read that the lights are up till Jan-8 this year, and we are going just after Jan-1st.

thanx...

Narnia is located between the entrance to the Millionaire - play it and Walt's dream.

The cue is set up in the alleyway between those two buildings.

It is very nicely done.

The Narnia exhibit is located right next to One Man's Dream (in between Little Mermaid and Millionaire). We got really cute pics outside in front of the mural standing next to the lamp post - exhibit wasn't open yet - hope they keep it open into next summer so we to see it !

The night we went to see Osbourne lights the street was a total gridlock - no direction for anyone to walk in - I felt sorry for those in wheelchairs and strollers who couldn't even move it was so packed (first Sat in Dec) - definitely plan on doing this while Fantasmic is showing. I also miss having the lights displayed back on the street where at least there was a 'traffic pattern' - they are beautiful, though!! :smooth:

Shoot, we must have walked right by it, because we have pictures of the girls in the winter scene...when did it open up? We went to MGM the night of the 4th and it was crazy busy and we were tired so we probably saw it but it didn't register that we should have gone in there!!

It was 'snowing' when we walked through the Osbourne Lights display on Monday 12/12.

yes there is snow.

It was our first time with the Osborne lights and I thought it was awesome! Really got me in the x-mas spirit! On the 9th we went 2 DTD to see Narnia then on sunday (our last day of the trip went back 2 MGM to get some final rides and see the narnia set. It was pretty kool looking. Although I don't see the big deal of why u can't take pictures inside? I went to Comic-con in San Diego this year and they had lots more stuff like props, weapons and costumes. from narnia. They just didn't have a set. It's basically a big commercial for the movie but the set looks pretty kool!

We were there 12/4-12/11, and the night we went to MGM they cancelled the lights b/c it rained all day! :sad2: We were a bit upset, since it had stopped about 40 minutes before they were to start, and didn't make the announcement until right at 6. We ended up missing them, and Narnia. Oh well, gives us an excuse to go back! :rotfl:

This was the first year that the family and I experienced the Osborne Lights. It was simply a remarkable display. I didn't realize that Disney made it snow for the lights as well. I was pleasantly surprised to see this.

We went on Sunday 12/2, which was an EMH night. I would suggest to avoid crowds that you do the Osborne display on EMH night and wait until the first showing of Fantasmic is going or finished. We actually did the first showing of Fantasmic on that night, and then walked over and did a couple of other rides, and then went through the Osborne Lights. There were people there, but it certainly wasn't gridlock, and we ended up with some good pics and video.

Osborne Lights were awesome! The most incredible display of lights I've ever seen.

Narnia was a HUGE disappointment. Well not so much Narnia as MGM. We went to MGM on 12/1 and 12/2. On those dates we were told by CM's that the Narnia exhibit would be opening when the park did on 12/9, which would be 9am. We arrived at the park at 8:20am and after entering the park we found out that the exhibit would not be opening until 4pm because Govenor Bush was going to be doing a dedication and holding a press conference prior to the opening. DD9 and I were crushed. That was the only reason we even went to MGM on 12/9 and we couldn't stay as this was our last day and we were headed to Epcot for Holidays Around the World, so we were very bummed about that.

On a happier and more magical note we were lucky enough to be chosen as the first family of the day at MGM. This didn't make up for having to miss Narnia, after much anticipation, but it did soften the blow.

Osborne was packed when we went to see it on the 10th. They did have snow falling but DS didn't like it too much and kept trying to hit it away from him. It was nice but I liked it better when it was down residential street. It had a more spread out feel to it and the crowd control was much better.

We were there that night too. My MIL wasted a day on her ticket just to go see the lights that night. And cancelling lights due to rain was a load of crap anyway. My hubby puts about 15,000 lights on our house every year in NH. They NEVER have gone out due to snow, blizzards, rain, whatever. I just wish Disney told the truth about these things!

It wasn't snowing Fri. night, which was disappointing, but CMs said it was because they thought the weather was going to cancel the lights completely (it only broke late), and because of a special event that evening - Pop Warner Cheerleaders
