Just back: Maxpass, RBT Fantasmic Dinner, WOC dessert party, etc. thoughts

Both times we had reservations. Both times were told the only thing available was outside. Both times I went to the character lead and both times they brushed me off. Actually one of the times, I went to the character lead 3x during the breakfast because she kept promising they'd be by soon and another 45 mins would go by with nothing. Spoke to the restaurant lead too who apologized but told me I should go back to the character lead. The character lead watched as people brought their lunches from outside and got in "lines" with the breakfast characters. It finally took a busboy who got the characters to come to our table. Guest services was made aware after our trip and while they acknowledged it, I can't say they it helped at all as we had the same experience a year later.

I understand how the breakfasts work; we've eaten at all of them. We picked this one, and then gave it another chance, because of the number of characters it offered. But it's waste of money and time, not to mention the frustration when you see the same characters circle by the tables near you and never come to yours. And then to have zero help when it is brought up. I'm glad other people have had good experiences there. It's just not one I'll do again.
That is really strange, I have never had that experience there, but at that point I would have gone to guest services and said something because you paid the price to get characters and they didn't come around, they would have been able to do something to fix it, either a partial refund, getting you access to characters without waiting, something to make up for it. Of course I would have first asked the restaurant lead for at least a partial refund at that point.

I am not one to complain for the sake of complaining, but that is part of what you were paying for and the only way this can get fixed is if people speak up about it. I do know they had some very bad character leads a few months ago, but they quickly got rid of them.

re: a gluten free WOC dessert party - wow! I had assumed if I ever did a dessert party I'd have to take my gluten enzymes (I am not celiac but get very sick from gluten unless I take enzymes which I do sparingly as I'm always worried they will not work well enough) - nice to know they do have some nice gluten free desserts. I had assumed I'd be stuck with fruit, cheese, ice cream and perhaps a bagged gf cookie or muffin like what I can buy at the resort which seemed like a very overpriced ticket for WOC.

Yeah, they do such a great job with GF at Disneyland. I honestly would have been fine with drinks, fruit, and dessert but my plate had all kinds of different things on it to choose from.
