We just got back from a 6 night stay at POR. It was absolutely beautiful! We ended up with a room in the mansions area and I really was happy with it. We had made a request for AB section, but the mansions was such a pretty area that I did not mind a bit. We were in Parterre Place and had a room on the first floor. The walk was so pretty to get to the main areas that we didn't mind the distance a bit. It took at most 4-5 minutes and I really looked forward to the walk. The Riverside Mill was fun to go to to get a mug refill and to get a dessert in the evening. I enjoyed the atmosphere. The boat ride to DTD was so nice and relaxing.

Our room was very clean when we arrived and everyday mousekeeping did a good job getting it tidy. We got towel puppy dog toothbrush holders on our second day! I liked the decor better than I thought I might - much prettier in person. It was fun seeing all of the rabbits hopping around outside our room.

I was so sad the day we had to leave. I just slowly made my way along taking it all in for one last time. We will definately stay there again! :flower:

Thanks for the info. This is one moderate I have always wanted to try. We usually stay in deluxes but with the kids growing we think that the next trip we are going to get two rooms at a moderate instead

Nice to hear a positive review of POR. Can't wait until we stay there in December!

We love POR too! Glad you had a nice stay there. We were there last July and had a mansion room too. Absolutely loved it! :goodvibes

I was in Parterre Place when I stayed at POR a few years ago. I couldn't have been happier with the location. Didn't you just love walking over the bridge to get to the lobby?

We stayed at POR last December and loved it! We were also in the mansions..it was a beautiful walk to get to anywhere...We cancelled ressies at WL in October and are staying at POR again...I cannot wait! :flower:

After stays at most WDW deluxe resorts, I tired POR for our family for week of Thansgiving!! It is charming!! we love this resort!! glad you had a good trip!

We just got back from POR a couple of weeks ago, and loved it as well. Our room in AB fit us to a tee. It even convinced my dh to never go back to a Value again (although we liked those just fine, also). :cool1:

We'll be at POR next week :flower: I am so excited I can't stand it!!! Since we have 5 people, we will undoubtedly be in AB but I can't wait to take the carriage ride to see the whole resort. :goodvibes:

I'm a DVC member, so my last several trips have been at BCV or VWL. At the last minute, I decided to use up my last remaining points for this year on a solo trip, but there were no DVC units left. I booked POR instead - and it was lovely!!!

I'll have to admit that I missed valet parking and the coming and going through a themed lobby, but I was very pleasantly surprised otherwise. We'd stayed at POR when it was Dixie Landings, so I knew I would like the decor and theming. But I was amazed at just how lovely it was. My view from the balcony of Magnolia Bend was into a courtyard with beautiful magnolias, ferns, roses and a lovely wrought iron archway, with a view of the water through the trees. Really, it is one of the prettiest views I have ever had - I think I enjoyed it as much if not more than the night I had at the Grand Floridian once with a MK view!!!!

This is a great choice for a moderate resort, isn't it? My only bad experience was with the child next door who did not want to wake up at 5:45am with the rest of her family, and cried loudly about it for about 45 minutes or so each morning. But that could have happened anywhere - not the resort's fault!!!!

We also stayed in Parterre Place last month and thought it was fantastic! I know what you mean about feeling sad leaving! We felt the same way! Glad to hear you had such a nice stay..... :flower:

Glad to hear you loved it! Since there's 5 of us ..we'll be in AB like Jen812. How were the buses? :sunny:

We ended up never using the buses - so sorry I can't answer that for you. We were there with friends and we both had cars and ended up driving to the parks. We just liked not having to wait on the transportation. It did look like the buses were running very frequently and there were not huge crowds having to wait.
