Just back!! Kids and clothes report!!

Oh no! Sorry to hear that you didn't feel well. I hope you're better now. It sounds like you still had a good trip though.

I agree about the clothes. We just came back Monday. I understand about it being a family place and people are at the parks all day. But I wish people would dress up a little and they would enforce the dress code a little. I really hope that at least V&A's doesn't go lax on their rules.

I went searching for this after reading that you had to go to the hospital during your trip. I'm so sorry to hear about it.:sad2: My DH has had kidney stones and it's not fun...even worse when you're away from home.

I'm so glad to hear Celebration Hospital provided good care. We had less than a positive experience there a few years back but I've seen so many good reports that I think we must have had an off day.

Looking forward to your Il Mulino review in Dec..

We went to Raglan Road on 5/15 and it was a zoo....and we left before the music began. Screeching kids, a family playing DVDs at the table, a father who seemed to be encouraging his young children to yell, give high fives, etc.. The noise was numbing. And yet a whole section wasn't open as the tables in the other sections were crammed. It is off our list for a while...at least for dinner.

I'm glad you recovered in time to enjoy some of your trip...and meals.:thumbsup2

Hmm, feeling rather guilty about the dress code issue. DH, the kids and I were in Orlando this weekend for a quick trip to Universal with friends who live in another city. We had a late flight out on Monday night, and I really needed a Disney fix (DH and I decided that Universal just didn't FEEL right, even though we had a very fine meal at Emerils sans kids.) Anyhoo, we ended up playing a round of mini-golf at the Winter Summerland course, and decided to pop into AKL to see if we might be able to get into Boma. No luck. Two hour wait. However, Jiko was available. I had on a golf shirt and golf shorts, but DH had on a t-shirt with his golf shorts. We are usually picky about dressing at nicer restaurants like Jiko, but . . . We had a wonderful meal. Hope we didn't offend anyone!

So sorry to hear about the kidney stone. Glad you are okay. Love the kid-o-meter scale with the Chuck E Cheese birthday! Can't wait to read your reviews.
