Stayed at ASMu and it was just about lovebug free until the 28th and then it seemed as if they were swarming. Did not notive them at MK that night-
Then on the 29th around 11:30-12:00 OMG- people were going a little crazy by the pool!

Do they just come out certain times a day?

Even DH commented that maybe we should come when then lovebugs arent out-

I have seen pictures on other post of these "lovebugs"! They are nasty! I sure hope they are gone by the 22nd of October when we arrive in Disney!:wizard:

Lovebugs tend to be out during the warmest part of the day, so you'll see them most from about 10:00 am to about 5:00 pm, although there will be a few before and after that time. I'm glad they waited until after my trip this year to come out since they were so bad when I was there last September. They usually last for 4-6 weeks though, so I would imagine that most people traveling in October will have to put up with some of them.

seems to always be a different time of year that they show up:eek:

They show up roughly May and September. But they can show up as early as mid-August, and as late as mid-October (spring arrivals can also vary by a few weeks). If you really hate lovebugs, I would avoid mid-April to mid-June and mid-August to mid-October. That should keep you out of the worst of it most of the time.

Lovely.:sad1: We usually go to Disney mid to late October, and I have yet to run in to them. We leave for our next trip in 2 weeks, so it looks like my luck has run out. As long as they don't get in my hair, I will be fine. But just the thought of one of them in my hair creeps me out!:scared:

The words right out of my mouth. I've seen my share of lovebugs, and they're not a big deal really. They don't bite, don't sting, no threat. My only tip to add to yours is for folks to keep their mouth closed on the outside rides, as you might end up digesting a few....and be careful where you sit as they do stain your clothes. We always vacation in April/May and October, but sometimes September, so have certainly seen our share of them. We do snicker alot when you see people swatting at them and screaming. They are just like "fireflys" (lightening bugs), just messier if you get them on your clothes. It's just one of the things you have to deal with when you vacation in September and early May.

I know!!! We got to DW on the 22nd and there were hardly any of them, but yesterday they were in full force!!!
