Just back from a long weekend trip so I figured I'd come and let everyone know that Hollywood Studios was great with a 3 year old. I was worried there wouldn't be enough to do but in fact we didn't even get do all we had planned before tapping out at 6pm.

It was very much a day focused on meeting characters and seeing shows vs. rides but it was a great compliment to our Magic Kingdom day which was much more ride focused.

We saw Olaf, Mickey + Minnie, Pluto and Princess Sophia with limited wait times (we had to wait about 25 minutes to see Minnie and Mickey but all the rest were more like 10 minutes).

We did dinner at Hollywood & Vine so we got to see Minnie, Mickey, Goofy, Pluto, Daisy and Donald several times in one sitting. The food was just okay - definitely subpar for what they charge but also much better than 1900 Park Fare and Chef Mickeys so I had very low expectations. Most importantly, the characters came to our table twice each and totally delighted my daughter so that was a great way to end the evening.

This is pretty much my experience with HS with little ones as well. I always go in thinking I'm be done in a half day but don't get through everything in the full day.

Hollywood has the best selection of characters of any of the parks and that is often overlooked when people try to pass it off as a half-day park. Factor in the shows, and it is very difficult to complete HS in a full day, let alone a half day.
