Hey all! Just got back from my DLP trip. I went Friday 14th June to Sunday 16th June and stayed at the New York hotel!
HIGHS:
Cast members: Seriously amazing. Everyone (apart from one) was SO helpful and friendly! So impressed by them!
Disney Dreams: AMAZING! I've never seen anything so great in my entire life. Cried like a baby.
Character interactions: Characters here were spot on! The scrums for characters were not as bad as i've seen before. They tend to make crowds stand in a circle and the character chooses who comes in for photos next (sometimes from left to right). If children are pushed in by their parents the characters tend to slowly move them back out!
Crowds: Friday was dead! Extra magic hours were amazing as always! Got so much done! Spent most of the day saturday in studios with tiny queues. Disneyland park was much busier. Same with sunday!!
Hotel: Staff were brilliant! Room was amazing, had a nice ground floor room which had a huge open door that led out onto a nice garden area!
LOWS:
Eurostar: 2 hour delay on journey home with NO information given to any passengers whatsoever but that is nothing to do with Disney's fault.
MAJOR LOW:
I won't go into too much detail but basically a fully grown man hit me and called me very rude words whilst waiting for Disney Dreams to start. (Take in mind I'm a 20 year old girl). This was after he already hit and got in an argument with another man. Cast member completely ignored this was happening whilst the man was calling for help. Complained at guest services but the only offer of an explanation I got was that "maybe the cast member couldn't leave his post". I understand this is the case, but when guests physically attacking other guests someone needs to stand in.
If you want to read more detail on this story as to why it happened I will put it all in my TR!
