Hey all! Just got back from my DLP trip. I went Friday 14th June to Sunday 16th June and stayed at the New York hotel!

HIGHS:

Cast members: Seriously amazing. Everyone (apart from one) was SO helpful and friendly! So impressed by them!

Disney Dreams: AMAZING! I've never seen anything so great in my entire life. Cried like a baby.

Character interactions: Characters here were spot on! The scrums for characters were not as bad as i've seen before. They tend to make crowds stand in a circle and the character chooses who comes in for photos next (sometimes from left to right). If children are pushed in by their parents the characters tend to slowly move them back out!

Crowds: Friday was dead! Extra magic hours were amazing as always! Got so much done! Spent most of the day saturday in studios with tiny queues. Disneyland park was much busier. Same with sunday!!

Hotel: Staff were brilliant! Room was amazing, had a nice ground floor room which had a huge open door that led out onto a nice garden area!

LOWS:

Eurostar: 2 hour delay on journey home with NO information given to any passengers whatsoever but that is nothing to do with Disney's fault.

MAJOR LOW:

I won't go into too much detail but basically a fully grown man hit me and called me very rude words whilst waiting for Disney Dreams to start. (Take in mind I'm a 20 year old girl). This was after he already hit and got in an argument with another man. Cast member completely ignored this was happening whilst the man was calling for help. Complained at guest services but the only offer of an explanation I got was that "maybe the cast member couldn't leave his post". I understand this is the case, but when guests physically attacking other guests someone needs to stand in.
If you want to read more detail on this story as to why it happened I will put it all in my TR!

Glad you had a good trip. Is so good to hear that character unorganised meets are less of a scrum.

Did you claim your compensation from Eurostar for the delay???

OMG - can't believe what happened at Dreams and the response of Guest Services - I hate it when something "un-Disney" happens like this - I think Walt will be rolling in his grave!

Looking forward to reading your trip report!:goodvibes

Okay I have to ask now, are you the lady my husband was talking to about the bag and then we saw at the stunt show?

I agree the crowds were amazing. I keep saying we want to go back, but I am afraid of crowds being high.

Yes definitely!! I know definitely! It put a downer on the night for sure, but the whole trip was too perfect to make it ruin the night!!

AHH oh my gosh what a small world!! That was me!! I didn't even think about asking whether you were on disboards!! When did you leave?! Yes!! I think we definitely got lucky!! I've been in September before and crowds were the same if not less!!

Glad you had a great trip! :goodvibes

Thank you so much!!! :)

Welcome back. Glad you had a great time for the most part and sorry you encountered a rude person.

Sounds like a good trip with Dreams and low crowds!

Yeah it's annoying when the Eurostar gets delayed and they don't give you much information (was stuck in a 2 hour delay too recently)! Try claiming for compensation though (although they refused mine as they said it was due to circumstances beyond their control...)?

Also that is terrible about the other guest hitting you! :(

I wish we could get the neon green mickey head paint chips that they have in the states. I used to have one with my screen name on it, but cannot find it after all the moves. We were left early Sunday to come back as we leave in 6 hours for Scotland ( Edinburgh) We are thinking of going back in December and staying at Hotel New York.
