We were at DLPR from Friday 1st June - Monday 4th. Slightly apprehensive as hadn't been for 3 years and had read some reports which left me concerned. Luckily, in the main, my fears were unjustified.

Highs

Friday afternoon ... low crowds, lots of rides, even BTM was only posting at 30 mins

Blue Lagoon, never eaten there before, yes we waited for our order to be taken but from then on, super speedy and let us get out in time for the parade - food was overpriced but tasty.

Loved the parachutes in the Studios (as I suspected I would as I'm a fan of the jellyfish in California Adventure)

Parades - really great, love the music to both the parade and the party train (shame I couldn't find the train music on the cd)

Cast members ... worried about the 'rude' cast I kept reading about, sure they don't have the OTT american customer service but everyone we encountered was not rude, and most were very pleasant. What impressed me the most was the one and only time I saw an attempt at queue jumping (at the Frontierland Station) the CM told the people in no uncertain terms that they were to go back to their place in line ... she took no messing and was very stern with them (a group of Russian teenagers) and they obeyed - well done Celine!

Left luggage at the park - never realised you could do this, saved us the trip back to the hotel on Monday as we were getting the train to the airport - even meant I was able to run back for my coat when it rained.

I didn't manage to last the day to see Dreams which I know seems awful, but we have another trip booked in 6 weeks, so I'm saving something for then!

Earl of Sandwich, our new go-to for lunch ... ate there 3 of the 4 days, loved the chinese chicken salad.

Lows

Rained on Monday (not Disneylands fault!) which made the day seem quite long -especially as we'd got up for extra magic hours (in itself a disappointment as Buzz Lightyear wasn't open, nor the Carousel and the queues were longer for the other rides than at other times of the day)

Food generally overpriced and mediocre - but I expected that.

Never saw anyone smoking in a queue, yes there was smoking all over the park but only in places I could avoid rather than being forced to share smoke.

Toilets were smelly ... but we soon learnt to avoid the 'popular' ones and head for the out of the way ones which tended to be better

Oh and if anyone has their heart set on a 20th anniversary Mickey plush there wasn't one to be seen anywhere, not small or large, and no plush Mickey hats (plenty of Minne plushes and hats)

its a shame your longest day was the rainy one, but sounds like a successful trip :). Will you be able to pace yourself a bit more to see Dreams next time do you think?

sounds like u had a good trip and back again in 6 wks??? well, uve left urself a few new things (plus tarzan show will b on!!!)

not impressed if no mickeys around - how stupid that they are not stocking enuf of the 20th bits for the demand???? altho how ill explain this to a child who, since we knew we were going, has saved all his money just for a mickey i dont know - think if it is the case itll be a trip to city hall (well, another trip *** we spend enuf time there as it is lol)

cant wait now til we go...

Sounds like a great trip :thumbsup2

Glad all the poor comments turned out better than you expected.

You must be so excited to be going back. It will be worth it alone just for Dreams.

Thanks for posting :goodvibes

Welcome back - glad you had a great time overall :good vibes Thanks for sharing your highs and lows, I always love reading them! :thumbsup2

Welcome back :wave2: glad you had a good time and hope you get to see Dreams next time. :goodvibes

Great to see lots of highs, we've had some really rainy days at DLP ourselves, hopefully there'll be none on our next trip ..... 6 weeks totally jealous :rotfl:

Hoping for no rain next time! We saw an excellent deal on eusrostar plus return train tickets from Liverpool to Euston for £22 each which made taking the train a viable option for the first time hence the return trip ... I'm making sure I get my money out of the annual pass! Was really nice to go 'home' ... I love Florida and visited WDW before Disneyland Paris opened but somehow Paris feels like home to me :) I won a holiday there in 1996 and never looked back!

Welcome back and glad you had a good trip. Totally agree about Earl of sandwich, it's our favourite place in the Village.

When are you going back? We're going back in July too and I am looking forward to seeing the Tarzan show which we have just missed this time.

Enjoy Dreams when you return, it is worth waiting for! :goodvibes

we heard them rehearsing the Tarzan show when we were waiting for the train in Frontierland ... I remember it from last time ...really looking forward to seeing it again! We're back on the 16th July for 3 nights - midweek this time so hopefully not quite as busy as last weekend was. Will make sure I see Dreams this time!
