We’ve just got back from our lovely Christmas trip! Between uni and work things have been so busy so I didn’t have time to write a PTR. On this trip my friend, her partner and their 19 month old son came along with me and Chloe.

HIGHS

Sequoia Lodge – I loved it! It’s so beautiful, especially with all of the Christmas decorations. I cannot praise this hotel enough, it’s gorgeous. Also, we’d booked to stay in one of the lodges but were given interconnecting rooms in the main building. Our room had the 2 doubles but my friend’s room had a king size bed and a cot in for them which I think was lovely.

Character interaction in general was great, the kids really enjoyed the time they spent with them.

Meeting Jack and Sally – Jack in particular was fantastic! It wasn’t very busy when we were there so they managed to spend a little while with each of the children which was lovely.

Rock n Roller Coaster and RC Racer - Chloe was so happy that she was tall enough to go on them this time.

The park itself – With all of the decorations it looked even more magical.

Dreams obviously!

The weather – It wasn’t as cold or wet as I thought it was going to be so I was very pleased with that!

I’m sure there’s more but I can’t remember them at the moment.

LOWS

The journey back - We’d booked tickets for the Eurostar to and from Lille and then a train to and from Disneyland as there was a huge price difference between this and the direct train. The journey between Lille and Disneyland was just horrendous, especially on the way back. I’ll never do that again on the return journey. It was really stressful.

Losing Thumper – On the train to Lille, Chloe somehow lost her little Thumper toy that she’d just bought before getting on the train. She’s absolutely heartbroken, she’s so worried about what’s going to happen to him, bless her. I’m really upset for her. I was wondering if anyone knew if DLP have anything in place so that I could order her a new one and have it delivered?

Overall, we had an amazing trip, it’s made me even more excited about Christmas and I didn’t think that was possible!

After another wonderful trip I can’t wait to get back again! The only issue now is which hotel to try next :rotfl:

Welcome home.

I am so glad you were so pleased with Sequoia Lodge we are arriving next weekend!

I hope you will be doing another TR I loved the last one x

Welcome back, sounds like you had a fab trip:thumbsup2

Welcome back and glad you had such a great time. We're another one arriving at the SL at the weekend so nice to hear it described in such glowing terms.

So sorry to hear about Thumper, I really feel for your DD. I remember when I was very small and I lost a little teddy out of the car window (I know, I know!). I was distraught and by the time I persauded my parents to turn round and drive back we had driven too far to find him. They bought me an identical one but although I loved teddy2, like your DD I just felt so bad about poor teddy1 abandoned somewhere on his own. Probably not what you want to hear! Have you contacted SNCF or whoever the train company was to see if Thumper has been handed in? Failing that I am pretty sure people have been able to get things sent from DLP. If not I am happy to buy one when we are there and post it on our return to you if it will help. :goodvibes

Thanks, I can't say enough about how beautiful SL was!

I contacted eurostar as I couldn't find a contact for SNCF, they contacted them on my behalf and nothing was handed in at Lille or Brussels and nothing has been handed in.

Thank you for your extremely kind offer, I would wondering if I could take you up on that please. If it's no problem I'll message you with my details and send the money through paypal :)

welcome back.

Love good reviews on SL

Glad to help, just let me know exactly which Thumper it is and your contact details. I have a Dream AP so at least there will be a small discount on the price. :thumbsup2

Welcome back - sounds like a great trip. I love the look of the SL and will stay there sometime (hopefully next time!).

I would help with the Thumper toy but Cherry has beaten me to it and is there the same time as me anyway. Hope it gets sorted :).

Thank you very much for the offer though, I really appreciate how kind people on here. I'll have a very happy little girl!

Welcome back!

Sequoia Lodge is magical at Christmas isn't it?! :santa:
