Enjoyed this trip immensely and overall the food was good - I have a 4-year old daughter with severe food allergies to nuts, peanuts and shellfish so I was really happy with how accomodating everyone was.
Chef Mickeys Dinner - we ate here the first night. Seated quickly (we had a party of 8) and the chef came out immediately to walk me through the buffet. He was very attentive and where there was a possible cross-contamination risk (person using the pesto spatula to dish out ravioli for example) he offered to bring her food from the back. Food was fresh and hot. I loved the fish (I think that it was Cod) and the key lime pie. My daughter LOVED the Mickey shaped ravioli - unfortunately we didn't find them again during the trip. Chef came out after our meals to make sure that DD had had enough to eat. Character interaction was good.
Artist Point - This is my new favorite restaurant! We ate here twice, calling for a PS the same day that we ate there. We had venison spring rolls (surprising kick to them), salmon, and a creme brulee/bread pudding dessert and the cobbler. My husband says the cobbler is the best dessert he has ever had (It was very good but would have to contain chocolate to get a higher rating from me.) The staff was wonderful and different wait staff kept stopping by to entertain my children. One waitress even fed my 16 month old ice cream while I ate my dessert. Since my daughter either didn't like what was on the menu or couldn't have it because of the allergies, they offered to make her a grill cheese and she loved it. They also offered to substitute any sides of our entrees that had nuts.
The second meal here I had the tenderloin and loved it - especially the tomatoe! My husband had the pork chop and said it was the best pork chop he's ever had! Can't wait to eat there again on our next trip.
1900 Park Fare - We did the Cinderella dinner here. The food was quite good (most of the party thought better than Chef Mickeys). I loved the mashed potatoes here and the cream of mushroom soup. Dessert offering didn't seem as vast as at Chef Mickeys but the key lime pie was good again. Chef walked us through the buffet and there was more here that she could eat. We also got a birthday cake for my husband's aunt who's turning 70. Character interaction was brief - never saw the fairy Godmother as she seemed to be perpetually on break. Prince charming was charming though
...
Enough for now - next part will have SciFi Dine-in, Whispering Canyon Cafe, Princess Storybook breakfast and Victoria and Alberts!
