Just back! Here are some reviews!!

About the Princess Storybook Breakfast --

Was there something they did to make up for the less than inspiring food?

I am sorry to hear about this experience, too. I have yet to go to WDW, but from what I've read on these boards, the character actors are professionals, so even with a problem, I'd hope they would not disappoint all those starryy-eyed little princesses who have dreamed of such a moment.

I, too, hoped to have my daughter enjoy a breakfast there at the Rest. A. I mean, she'll have lunch at Cinderella's Royal Castle because it works best into our MK intinerary. As a princess dining experience, I was hoping to have her interact with the characters at this PSB at Rest A.

They didn't really say anything about the food other then that there was a kitchen problem and we didn't complain at the restaurant because it was DD's B-day breakfast and she didn't care about the food problem. But later on in the day it kept bothering me because we paid 70.00 for 3 adults and 1 child to eat potatos, eggs and a couple pastries, so we went over to guest services to let them know. They put my DH on the phone with the manager who apologized and said that those who complained at the breakfast got 10.00 off per person. He said to bring our receipt over and they'd give us a credit. Dh told me about what he said but I didn't take a receipt at the time so we just let it go. I really just wanted to let someone know what happened and I wasn't going to go crazy over it.

Like I said before my DD LOVED it and that was all that mattered. She didn't notice anything other then the princesses; they were rushed but the time they spent with her she just adored.

Personally, I thought that CRT(we went on a previous trip) was a much better experience but DD liked the PSB better-lol. ;)

Dear palmtreegirl:

I think your priorities are right. It's for your daughter, right? How old was she? What a wonderful birthday she had at WDW!

I can understand how you wanted to pass on the information to the restaurant and not just "complain" like a nudge. I recently did that at a nearby restaurant and the manager actually thanked me for the feedback. We got a salad where the vegetables were complete mush and some of the lettuce had that translucent quality. She mentioned that she was not aware, but it sounded like there might be some refridgerator problems. She promised me a free salad next time, which was gracious. Like you, I just wanted her to know.

I don't think I would go out of my way on a WDW trip to get a partial refund on a breakfast. I'd let it go, too....especially if my daughter was delighted by the entire experience.

Thanks for sharing,

KIS
