Liberty Tree Tavern Character Dinner: Loved it! Wonderful comfort food and the best character interaction we experienced. Dinner consisted of all-you-can eat fresh salad rolls, turkey, flank steak, honey ham, stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy, macaroni & cheese, and cherry cobbler w/ice cream for dessert. High recommend this meal.

Donald's Breakfastosaurus: This breakfast buffet has one of the largest selections I've seen. The character interaction was good. We had an 8:00 ADR and were out of the restaurant before the park opened.

50's Prime Time: This is a must do for my family and we were not disappointed. Three of us had the fried chicken and it was the best I've ever had. They also have awesome milkshakes. My DS enjoyed the chicken nuggets. My only complaint about this restaurant is that we never have enough room for dessert. We had a great waitress who made the meal alot of fun.

Whispering Canyon: Another must do for my family. We absolutely love the all-you-can eat skillet. As you can probably guess by now, my family loves all-you-can eat meals. All of the food in the skillet was fabulous. You get salad, corn bread, coleslaw, roasted chicken (my very picky DS9 had 4 helpings of this), ribs, pulled pork, smoked sausage, baked beans, corn on the cob. The ribs (my personal fav) melted in your mouth and I swear I had 5 helpings of mashed potatoes. We left another restaurant stuffed!

Beaches and Cream: DD and I split a cheeseburger (very tasty) and a No Way Jose sundae (to die for). DH had a chicken sandwich, which he said was very good. DS had french fries and an enourmous banana split. He said it was the best he ever had. Outstanding ice cream sundae selections!

Le Cellier: Wonderful! DD & I both had the herb crusted prime rib. It was extremely tender, cooked to perfection, and had just the right amount of seasoning. It came with a veal demi glace (which I had no idea was it was, so I had it on the side) that really topped it off nicely. DH had a chicken dish with peas and carrots and he gave it rave reviews. DS had the spaghetti and finished the entire bowl. I was the only one to try dessert. I had the maple creme brulee. OMG! I am not a huge maple fan (the flavoring was very light), but it was the best dessert I have ever had.

Crystal Palace Character Lunch: This was our least favorite meal. It wasn't bad, just overpriced. My family likes pretty basic foods, and many of the options were a little too different for my family. I enjoyed it more than the rest, but agree that it was not worth the money.

Ohana's Dinner: Wow! I don't even know where to begin. It was FABULOUS! The appetizers could have been a whole meal in themselves. We had chicken wings, shrimp wontons (I think I personally ate 10 of these), stir fried veggies, cheezie potatoes (my DD pronounced them the best potatoes she has ever had in her whole life), salad, yummy coconut pineapple bread, and three dipping sauces. The skewers were fantastic. The grilled shrimp was amazing, the beef was juicy and tender, and the turkey was extremely tasty and moist. The pork was a little dry, but had a nice flavor. Dessert was fresh pineapple with a caramel dipping sauce which was very good. I had the Lapu Lapu drink (the very large tropical drink served in a pineapple) and it was delicious. We could barely walk away from this feast.

Sci Fi Cafe: We took everyone's advice and stuck to burgers, fries, and shakes and had a wonderful lunch. The theming is definitely worth the trip. We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch and it was one of the quietest meals we experienced all week. I guess everyone is busy watching the corny sci-fi movie clips. They were very entertaining and the kids couldn't believe people actually watched those movies.

Biergarten: Great experience. The food was good, especially if you are a meat lover. The theming is very nice and we really enjoyed the entertainment. DS was not thrilled with the food, but managed to get enough to eat becasue there were so many choices. If you go here, try to coordinate your meal time with the showtime. The desserts were very good.

All in all, we did not experience one bad meal and we had excellent service at every restaurant we went to. Any questions??? Ask away!!!

Everything sounds great!
How old are you kids and did they like Sci-Fi better than Prime Time?
What was your overall favorite? You do recommend Donald's Breakfastosaurus?
Never been to that and it gets really mixed reviews.

Sounds like a great time! I love Biergarten and cant wait to return in 10 days!! We will be trying Ohanas for the first time and looking forward to it, I am so glad you posted a review about the new potatoes, I was worried about it... What CS did you try and like? Also a little of topic did you try any evening EMH?

Wow! You've got me so excited about Whispering Canyon and Ohana. Thanks for the great reviews.

I am curious, did you like the veal demi glace?? I was wondering about that myself for my trip in 1 week. :goodvibes

Great review!! Thank you for sharing! We are eating at all those restaurants, too, except for 50's Prime Time Cafe. Sounds like I made some great choices!

Yes! Both my DD and I got the demi glace on the side and after one taste, quickly poured it all on. It tasted like a very flavorful beef gravy, but you don't get too much of it so it doesn't overpower the wonderful flavor of the meat. Just thinking about it again is making my mouth water. Enjoy!

No, they have many other things to choose from. What we had was an all-you-can eat skillet that they bring to you, so we never had to leave the table. Check out the entire menu at WC Menu They also have a children's menu.

We have only tried the chocolate milkshakes at 50's, but I have heard that the PB&J is very good. Just didn't appeal to us...we are chocoholics!!!

Enjoy!

With all of the TS meals we had, we didn't do much counter service...we just weren't that hungry. We did get pastries in France one afternoon for lunch (I love being on vacation). We ate breakfast in our room most mornings. Many of our dinners were scheduled early (around 5:00) so we just snacked for lunch.

As for EMH, we avoided these morning and evening. Frankly, I had heard how crowded the EMH parks get and my family just had no desire to stay in the parks 3 extra hours. Our focus was on getting to the parks for opening; a strategy that worked very well. We could get on all the biggies with little or no wait, have lunch, take an afternoon break, and go to a different park for dinner, shows, and the less popular rides. We were able to accomplish so much this way. We never needed the extra hours and did not experience large crowds!

Enjoy!

That is a tough question because we love both. The food at both is excellent, but I would probably have to give a slight nod to Ohana's. They are both casual, family-friendly restaurants. WCC has more choices as you can order the all-you-can eat skillet or order off of the menu. Ohana's has just the all-you-can eat. Both offer alternatives for children; however, my very picky DS9 loved the food on both of the all-you-can eat menus. You can't go wrong with either choice; I guess it is whether you prefer a Pacific Northwest or a Tropical Island atmosphere. In the end, my family agreed that Ohana's was the best meal of our trip.

I hope this helps. Let me know if you have any specific questions.

You had some great meals at some of my favorites, thank you for sharing. :sunny: :goodvibes :flower:

Great reviews.
I do have a question about O'hanas though. That is one of our favorite places but noticed a few changes on their menu - did you say stir-fry veggies? Do they still have green beans????
That was one of my favorites. In fact I've made them at home twice in the last month because we miss the place so much.

Thanks for your help!
