Wendi-we were in rooms 4418 and 4419, but they did not connect. We liked our room placement very much, because we were not close enough to the conceirge lounge to hear the noise, but still just a hop, skip, and a jump from the food offerings, and the music in the afternoons and evening. (Piano player in the late afternoons, band in the evenings. This is one difference versus Sugar Loaf, as I believe someone else mentioned. Just depends on what you want to pay for.) As far as the room decor, our room had 2 queen beds, with the "cameo" design-I think I saw a link here on the boards to pictures. Our balcony was a great setting for seeing the fireworks, but we could not see the castle. Our view looked out on the garden, pool, and lagoon and Poly to the left. My sister's room was a deluxe room, 2 queens, very large sitting area, and foyer, with a balcony shaped similar to a short L, also great for viewing the fireworks. Unfortunately, that is also the handicapped room-there is no tub in the bathroom, just a large sit-down shower. They offered to change her room to one on the third floor when one came available two nights later, but she stayed where she was. I don't think they can tell you it's the handicapped room, so if it's assigned when you get to the hotel, 4419, you'll know. We were told there were six deluxe rooms (I'm sure there are more, maybe they meant just on this wing and these two floors) and one had to be handicapped-ready by law. As far as the concierge lounge being child-friendly, it most definitely was! They have two small tables and chairs, and a TV in front of a comfortable couch that the little ones can watch. All adults in the concierge lounge, whether CMs or guests, were pleasant to the children there during our length of stay. And, no hoarding of food, as I've read about in other boards! They did run out of White Zinfindel wine one evening, and the woman who was in charge said they didn't expect people to be drinking so much of that particular kind! The next night, they had more of it than the other kinds! We had a 7 year old and an eleven year old in our group, but there were other children in the area, and in the whole hotel, and all seemed to have a great time. No one got bent out of shape having children there-it's Disney, right? We especially loved the music in the evenings. We saw several men dancing impromptu with their young daughters in the grand lobby, and where we were, too. We visited the Poly while we were there, because I've stayed there before, and wanted my sister to see it. While it is a wonderful place, both the hotel and especially the pool were EXTREMELY crowded. And, the pool over there is MUCH smaller than the two that are at GF. Our girls loved swimming in both the pools at the GF, and there were also plenty of lounge chairs. I know you'll have a Disney time at the GF!
