First time to stay here--it was every thing we had ever imagined. Stayed with my DD 17, trip was an early high school graduation gift. The Christmas decorations were so incredible. We spent tons of time just examining all the different ornaments on the different trees throughout the resort. Our personal favorite was the glass slipper ornaments which we found only on the little tree in the Sago Cay lobby...

We booked standard view, requested a dormer room when we made the reservation. We were in Sago Cay, room 5438. This was a dormer room, view facing the lagoon on the backside of the resort, and the monorail track. Bedding was Swan theme. This is so cute!!! Four different little vignettes of swans on the bedspread, with a little charater from Wind in the Willows in each one-- either Mr Toad, McBadger, Rat or Mole. Made us both nostalgic for the old Mr Toad ride from DD's early childhood. We have stayed at ASSp, POR, CBR, and AKL in previous visits. Although AKL was cool, this was by far our favorite resort. We went to WL, Poly, BC, Boardwalk, to look at their Christmas decorations, and GF's were by far our favorite.

We had never been in December before, and loved all the special holiday shows. CP was awesome, as was Christmas parade at MK, and the Twas the Night Before Christmas show in Tomorrow land. Minnie in silk pajamas singing "Santa Baby"... too cute.

I am glad you enjoyed your stay, we Love the GF and can't wait to get there. I too love looking at all of the ornaments. I wish they sold some of them. I just love Christmas time.
We will be arriving in 19 day for our stay at the GF and was wondering if you can confirm something for us. Is Coffee available in the ground floor of the building in the morning? And if so, what hours is it available?

Yes, coffee was available in the Sago Cay lobby from 6:30-8 am during our stay. MK opened at 8:00 on those days.

I searched and searched for a discount during this period, but no luck. Yes, we paid the full holiday rate. One of the main reasons we only stayed three nights. The rate was outrageous, but the experience of being at the GF during Christmas week was incredible.

wow, it must be very expensive, was the GF crowd? and how was the weather in florida? is it cold? can you swim?

Coral40, oh, your stay sounded wonderful. Welcome back. By the way, do you have any photos to share with us?

Weather was beautiful while we were there. You definitely needed a sweater/sweatshirt after the sun went down, but each afternoon was probably 70-75 and sunny. My DD did go to the pool for about an hour one afternoon, said the air was a little cool, but the water was wonderful.

We did take some pictures, but no digital camera or scanner to share them. Haven't even actually gotten them back yet. Can't wait to see them myself!
