We got back yesterday. We rented double strollers for DS5 and DS3, and found out two things that we didn't know during our last trip in Dec. 03 and I thought I would share. I may have misssed the threads on these, so my apologies if they are old news.

Item 1: Rental strollers are now availabe at Downtown Disney. However, they require extra $20 deposit per stroller.

Item 2: You can buy Rental Passes for multiple days. We spend 4 full days at the park, and on the first day we bought 3 passes for $40. The passes let you get to the front of the line since you don't have to pay, just pick up the tag. It saved us a lot of time, especially in the morning.

Hi. We'll be there on Sunday!:bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc  :earseek:
That seems like a stiff price for a stroller. Can you still park hop with the passes on thesame day?
Thanks.

Thanks for the info!

Did you have to use your stroller passes on consecutive days? Or is it possible to buy them on a Monday, but use them on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday (skipping Wednesday)? If so, how long are the passes good for? We are definitely bringing a stroller for my 2 year old, but are debating whether to rent or bring one for my 4 year old.

Thanks for the info!

I just want to add a quick plug for the DIS stroller swap. It's free - check out the Budget Board or PM me for details.

Thanks,
Heather (mkcp91) :earsgirl:

We took our 3 year old for the first time without his stroller. It was a breeze going through security and walking around. We can board a tram without a big fuss. We can also have the opportunity to ride in the front of the monorail. We met up with cousins and the four kids 3 three year olds and a 6 year old crammed into a double stroller. They glide so much more easier than a regular stroller even with four kids and many backpacks hanging off it.

Ok I guess I need things to be explaned a couple of times before it sinks in! The hazard of having 5 DD'S.

Where did you buy the passes?

Is the $40 for a single or a double stroller?

How much is a pass a day?

Can you park hop with these passes?

Can you use them to get a stroller in DTD?

Sorry for all the questions, but this will be our first year without bringing our own strollers from home for our twin 6year old DD's. So any help would be great!

Thanks!!!

To buy the rental pass, you have to get on the same line as renting for one day. There was a CM at the end of the line who explained how the passes worked. When you get to the cashier, tell them how many passes you want. You do not have to use them consecutively. In our case, we bought them on Thursday, and used them for Thursday, Friday, and Sunday.

The pass itself is a small yellow card with Rental Pass written on it. There is a blank white space to stamp the date. Once you have the pass, you go to the CM that hands out the tag. The CM will stamp the date on the pass and write the tag and give you a stroller. When you park hop, you don't have to get on line. Find the CM with the tags and show the pass. Once the CM confirms the date, you will be given the new tag and stroller.

The one day rental fee for a double stroller is $15. We paid $40 for three passes, and I presume for more passes you will get more discount.

If you have any more questions, let me know. :D

Edited to Add: Yes, you can use the pass to rent strollers at DTD. However, you still have to put down $20 depost, as DTD has no barriers at the exit. It would be really easy to take off with the strollers.

And how much do you think someone will pay?!

I love the idea of the multiple day discount! Not to mention less waiting in line on the subsequent days :)

Thanks! This was news to me!! That sure will make it much easier on our next trip!

The multi day pass started on May 23. It is a new program.

It was too late for me to get in on it during our stay.

Wow. That is wonderful news. We are will be at Disney in July and we were trying to decide if we wanted to rent or bring our own. This maybe the deciding factor.

THANK YOU!

I love these boards!

This made my decision so much easier! We couldn't decide between renting and bringing our own. I'll be renting. The multi day passes will make it a breeze!

Thanks for the info. We will be going in July with our 4 yr old DD and we plan on renting. This will help a lot.

Our first trip to WDW a few years ago I made the mistake of renting a park stroller. I was unhappy with the style and (lack of) comfort, plus having to turn it in and carry my little one the rest of the way to the parking lot.

A family member told me about renting just about anything I needed from A Baby's Best Friend (www.abbf.com) there in Orlando. It was the best decision I made for our next trip and have been using them ever since, not only for strollers but cribs and other items. The main thing about the stroller is they are always clean, and we have it with us the entire length of our stay, and as we do some shopping and usually go to the Boardwalk and look around at other resorts on property, it is nice to have it with us all the time.

Just my thoughts, HTH!
