If you didn't do excursions, what did you do the day the ship was in port? Is there anything to do on the ship when you are docked or do you really need on planning to get off.
On St. Martin, we took the water taxi which is $5 for all day use. We went to the beach right by the water taxi dock in town. For $10 we got two chairs and an umbrella and tickets good for two drinks. We thought it was a very good deal. We returned to the ship for lunch and then went back into town by water taxi for some shopping.
On St. Thomas we took a taxi to the St. John ferry. $8 per person. We took the ferry over to St. John. $3 oer adult and $1 per child. On St. John we took a fery to Trunk Bay $4 per person. This was a small savings over the ships tour, and we were able to set our own time table.
