Hi y'all...

Just got back from a stay at the Yacht Club Concierge. I've done Polynesian, AKL, Boardwalk Concierge before, but this experience topped all of them for the level of service and overall satisfaction.

Usually and sadly when staying at a Disney Deluxe, we pay the price for an experience where the overall service isn't on par with service you would receive anywhere else.

The Yacht Club at Disney changes the equation. It was superb in every aspect.

I have never been compelled to prepare a review where I had no complaints. Everything I have to say about the YC is excellent.

In addition, if you're an early bird and hit the parks early, on Tuesday at 10:00AM rides in Fantasy Land were still 5 minutes and under. Crowds really hit and impact lines after 11:00AM.

So I'll summarize the whole thing later and post it. For anyone about to leave for YC, you're in for a treat, especially at the Concierge level.

Enjoy...

So glad you found this jewel!! :goodvibes I've always said the service at the YC CL makes it stand heads above the rest!! I'm delighted to hear you had a wonderful time and can't wait to read your trip report!!!!

Ok- how about a quick update on what was available in the lounge?? We will be staying YC CL in Sept and we are looking forward to it.

Wow, those are sentiments that we haven't heard for a while. I will absolutely agree that the pre-planning assistance we received was first rate and unsurpassed. Rooms were nice, with super comfortable bedding and a great experience with housekeeping. We had some issues with on site assistance from two CM's and that might have soured my overall impression there. How do you rate the lounge in comparison to the others you mentioned? My opinion was that it was very small, the view was definitely lacking and I really didn't like that it was open only during specific food service hours. Also, was this your first time staying YC concierge level? Just curious because you might have noticed the earlier post regarding changes to their lounge offerings. This was from a repeat guest who noticed that things were not quite the same as before. When you do report in more detail, can you let us know what the food offerings were during your stay? That way we can see if recent complaints have done anything to improve the selection.

Thanks.

I will be staying yc concierge in october. I am still thinking of changing to boardwalk because I have never seen a real rave review of yc. Thanks for making me feel like yc is going to be a great choice.

I am so glad you had a great experience. I have done the YC CL, BWI CL and the POLY CL. The YC was way above the rest! I was planning on going back in September but was nervous after reading some of the previous posts.

When exactly were you there?

I have done the BWI, YC, BC Poly, I liked the YC better then any of them...and disliked the poly the most

Have to agree YC is the best. We have done Ak, Poly and BWI with BWI being the worst which is crazy since they use the same planning office. The entire staff At the YC on and off the concierge floor are the best.

Hi all,

We're still unpacking at this point. I'll write a seperate post with a review.

To answer some questions, though:

Appetizers - We didn't really have any ourselves. There was:
1) Friday - Pasta Primavera. Hummous, Cheeses and other small bites
2) Saturday - ?
3) Sunday - Fish n Chips
4) Monday - BBQ Ribs
5) Tuesday - ?

How do you rate the lounge in comparison to the others you mentioned?
It was nice, but not open 24 hours a day like the Polynesian and AKL. That's a majorly attractive asset for those hotels. The evening offerings were not as nice as those offered in the other hotels from what I saw, but that's not a make or break point for us.

When exactly were you there?
This morning, still unpacking at this point. :)

I had no idea that some of the other lounges were open 24 hours a day as we always stay at the YC. I do love staff at the YC and we've gotten to know some of them very well. Betty is the best! We've gotten to be very friendly with some of the staff at Disney. Bradless always takes care of us over at the Flying Fish and we now chat on the phone once in a while and exhange Christmas Cards. Our friend who ran the restaurants etc. at the Y&B Club was someone we met years ago when he managed The Flying Fish and now lives in our town. He even had Christmas dinner at our house this year! The staff at Disney are wonderful, especially on the concierge floor at the YC!
