Hello. Boy was I surprised by ASMovies. For a budget hotel, this was very nice. Only stayed 1 night before moving to the Poly, but my young family really liked it here. Rooms were small, but for a $66.00 per night charge, we would stay here again. We were located in Fantasia, so the walk to pool and food court were minimal. My sons loved the large characters on the buildings and I realized that it is more naturally geared to children and really contibuted to the overall Disney Magic! The food court was large and had a great variety of food. It was however very busy. Our room was clean and all service was friendly. The kids loved the balloons they gave them at check-in. If anyone has any questions, I'd be glad to answer them.
Thanks:bounce:

Glad to hear you liked it! I agree it's a great resort for the $$! Plus you can't beat the theme it's definitely one of a kind and so cute!

ASMO was our first on site resort experience and it certainly hit the spot for Disney magic. Are the rooms still as new and clean ? with nice firm beds ?:)

I must admit also the food at ASMO foodcourt was tastier than at POR.

Thanks for the reviews(Poly too). We must have similar tastes because even though the Poly is our all time favorite too, we also love ASMO. I dont think any other resort says "Disney" as much as ASMO, especially for kids.

GONETODISNEY---- This is so funny. We are going to stay at ASMO for one night before we go over to the Poly. We have never stayed at the ASMO, so we thought we could drive down one day early and try it out. I am sure the kids will love it. You can't beat that rate.

Magicmouse2 -- our room was nice and clean and had firm beds still. I found it to be very nice -- the kids loved it. Having never stayed at one of the budgets, we were not sure what to expect, but we left there thinking that for the price of our 1 room at the Poly we could have had 2 rooms at ASMO for our family and had a little needed privacy. Now that we know what to expect, I'm sure we will go back. Plister- I know your kids will love it! The resort just oozes Disney Magic. Overall a very nice addition to our trip.

We're staying at the All-Stars Movies and I have heard and read some good reviews about the hotel. For no more time than we are planning on staying in the room, we feel like we will get our use out of it. Glad to hear that they ARE nice though!

We'll be at Sports for one night before we go to the Polynesian too. Must be the thing to do!! I'm glad to hear you liked it so much. My dh is fussing and complaining about having to move after one night! But, I'm not paying close to $400 to sleep at the Polynesian. We don't get to our resort until 7-7:30 on a Friday night. Then 7 nights at Polynesian. With my luck, he'll fall in love with the AllStars!!! Then we'll never go back to the deluxes.

Goofy4tink-- that's exactly why we spent 1 night at ASMo. Why pay $199.00 (our rate) at Poly when you check in so late. I think we arrived at 6:00 p.m. We ate dinner, looked around, and went to sleep. After a long drive, this room was perfect. I was so impressed that I think we may consider it in the future for our entire length of stay. Just think how little time is actually spent in the hotel room--most of the time you are in the parks! Makes sense to me. Oh, and don't worry about the transefer to Poly. The move was quick and easy. We opted to move our luggage ourselves and had no problem.
