Hi guys! We just got back from our first stay at the WL (11/15-11/21)! We had room 4119 (inner courtyard as requested). We had a nice view of the creek and could even see the electric water parade from the balcony. The room was a little on the small side but was fine for our family of 4. Loved the decor and the nice air freshener mousekeeping (who by the way did a great job) sprayed the room with. The beds were comfy and we never had any problem with noise. Coming "home" to the WL after a hectic day at the parks was soo nice! We had dinner at Whispering Canyon our first night and i thought it was okay, nothing i would rave about. The roaring fork had great breakfast and flatbread pizza. Our girls loved the pool (especially the waterslide). We saw rabbits and there was even a mother duck with 6 little ducklings hanging out by the pool. The only problem we had was the bus transportation which was very unpredictable. One day it took almost an hour to get from Epcot to the WL (and this was when we left the park at 1145am. It took at least 35 minutes for a bus to even arrive at Epcot) We didn't find the buses to be as bad for the other parks. The boats to MK were a pleasure in comparison. Our girls enjoyed the magic cookie hour at Roaring fork and we did go to the open play time at the Cub's Den. I would definitely stay at the WL again but i think we might just take our car to the parks rather than deal with the bus transportation. If anyone has questions, feel free to ask! :)

Did you use the Boat to MK? I heard that was more reliable. I am staying there in Feb. and I hope the boats are better than the buses. I know I can take the Monorail to Epcot from MK so that is probably what I would do.;)

Believe me that transportation can be bad at any of the resorts at times. We have experienced this at other resorts as well. Glad you had a magicical vacation!:thumbsup2

Hi. Glad you had a great trip. We will be staying at WL in April. You mentioned the magic cookie hour at Roaring Forks. What is that? Thanks!

I would also like to know about the magic cookie hour at RF. We will be there Jan. 26-Feb. 2. WL is our DS favorite resort. DH wanted to stay at the Poly, but DS refused- he said he only wanted to stay at the WL!! What a smart boy!

I'm happy to hear you had a good trip! We leave for WL on Monday and I can't wait to walk in for the first time and see the decorations.

How was the water temp of the pool? I think it's going to be fairly warm next week for us, but we never seem to have time during the day and like to swim at night.

When did you call to make the room request? I've been debating whether it was that big of a deal or not to us, but I figure as long as we don't get our hopes set on anything it couldn't hurt, so I might call this afternoon.

TIA!!

Magicical cookie hour sounds ... well magical. Please tell me more.

There is ABSOLUTELTY nothing like seeing it decorated for the first time. It is awesome and inviting. All the nooks and crannies to just kick back in near fireplaces iand enjoy some special moments.:thumbsup2 Here's wishing you all the most magical trip.:cool1: Not sure about the pool because we are not big pool users, but I believe it is around 80-85 degrees.:confused3

Hi!

I'm glad you had a great trip! I'm going to the WL from 12/2 to 12/8 and I was just wondering about the Cub's Den.

I'm not taking kids this time, but if I choose WL next year, I'll want to check out Cub's Den. I know it's probably not as big as NeverLand Club, but I just wondered what you thought of it?

Hi guys! Sorry it took me so long to reply! I had to work yesterday and am still washing clothes. lol!! The magic cookie hour was in the Roaring Fork and they had a table set up with huge sugar cookies, chocolate & vanilla icing and sprinkles for the kids to decorate and enjoy! The CM gave my girls each a little certificate and they really enjoyed those cookies! I thought the Cub's Den was nice but a little on the small side. We didn't use the Den except for the open play time. They had games, toys, crafts and of course Disney movies. We liked the boat to MK better than the bus route. I put in our room request about 2 months before we left for the WL. No upgrade, but i did get what i requested. The pool was warm enough for my girls to spend 3 hrs in it! I didn't swim myself. I would definitely stay at the WL again! Have a great time there! My DD's favorite thing about the Roaring Fork was the flatbread pizza (which they made with no pizza sauce for her). :thumbsup2
