Just returned from week @WDW and had fantastic trip, even though hit hard w/flu last few days of trip....
After staying so many times at the Poly thought we'd give other resorts a shot.
WL - First two nights were at WL and have to say was a little dissapointed.....Booked a "Courtyard" view room and requested Bunkbeds. Checked in approx 3pm and did not get what we expected. They did not have bunkbed rooms available for the first night and since we were moving hotels in a couple days didn't feel like moving after the first night. No big deal DDs were dissapointed but easily got over that.
The room location however was a dissapoinment I never got over. Paid for what I though was a "courtyard" view which I thought would overlook the WL Courtyard......our room was on opposite side and over looked the WL Villas. I went down to guest relations to inquire and was told it is courtyard view, the courtyard between the WL and the WL Villas.
One other minor thing was we were on the six floor, the balconies on the six floor are not the standard balconies..that is they have an obstructed view not the standard "railing"...my dd's weren't tall enough to look out over the courtyard without standing on a chair...yeah like that was going to happen on the 6ht floor!
The room situation didn't spoil our time and we really loved the hotel lobby and whispering canyon restaurant but don't know if I'm willing to give WL another shot.
BVC - Next it was on the the BCV for six nights! Fantastic room, we had one bedroom and was more than enough space for family of 4 to get along all week! Had a wonderful view of EPCOT fireworks however there is a road between BVC and EPCOT that surprisingly is very busy. Constantly heard traffic "wizzing" by and heard the "beep....beep.....beep" every morning of what I assumed was trucks unloading at EPCOT....Never the less the room with full kitchen, washer and dryer and jacuzzi tub were awesome!
If we don't try another DVC next trip most likely will go return to the POLY!
