Just Back From Week Long Stay at SSR

AND LOVED IT! I was a little apprehensive about staying there due to some negative comments, but I am so glad that we decided to stay there! The room was super clean, we were right beside the bus stop, and it was really quite. We stayed in the Springs bldg and we loved being close to the pool and carriage house. The CMs were super friendly and helpful! All of the resorts were having problems with the shuttles, though. It worked out that we never waited more than 20 min for a bus (except for one day) and that is including leaving the parks, too! The transportation dept is trying to get everything worked out for the summer. There was a guy at our stop timing the buses (just so happens it was the day we had to wait). He said that they have recently gone to using GPS boxes on the buses but there were a LOT of kinks that needed to be worked out. On that day we saw 3 DTD and 2 Epcot buses (all within 10 min of each other), but no MK bus. It had been 40 min since the last one, so obviously they need to get this worked out!

Anyway, just wanted to let people know our experience with SSR. We will definitely be back!

We stayed for the 1st time in Feb. I agree with you we loved it. I too had read many negative comments but I can't wait to go back. We were in Grandstands really liked it.

Glad you liked it. It was our fourth resort choice for a two-bedroom villa, mainly because it was more expensive than the others. Not sure why it's more expensive except that it is newer.

Glad you had a nice trip. We've stayed at SSR a couple of times, and while it isn't our first choice, we think it's very nice there.

Ya know, SSR is my home resort and the 2nd to last of all of them that I stayed at. I had visited to see it but from others responses always booked elsewhere. Then I stayed there. I really think that this resort is truely the most underrated. It is wonderful! Now, I have stayed there more then any other resort and its my kid's favorite, knocking out AK lodge and Beach Club!

Not for us b/c we stayed in the Springs BLDG, so we had everything right at our fingertips! The downside to that is that we were the last stop on pick ups and drop offs. Not a big deal at the time of year we were there, but I could see how that could be a problem during a busy time of year.

I agree that it was really underrated!

I live in Orlando so I don't stay in the resort rooms anymore but I walk around the grounds of many resorts often. I have always loved Saratoga Springs!

We love it there....even though some DVC owners dont....glad everyone can enjoy it..it is beautiful..

SSR was my 1st DVC stay.....I loved it.....will definately go back.
