We went to WDW on 10/10 and 10/17 for MNSSHP. Our first day at the MK was Tues the 10th. My dh and I and our 3 year old twins arrived to enjoy the party (first time with them). Our first ride was the carousel (my daughters favorite). Then after we got off we went straight to IASW (Mommy's favorite). While we were on that ride, I said to my husband, " I probably should not leave our camera on our stroller like I did." Well, needless to say, we got off the ride, went to our stroller and our digitial camera was gone. I feel so bad because it had pictures on it from my childrens first day at preschool. We went to city hall at the end of the night to see if anyone turned it in, with no luck. We were really upset, and I know it was my fault, but being in Disney, it just feels so innocent, I didn't even think about anyone taking it. It kind of put a damper on the rest of the night but we went back the following week for MNSSHP (10/17) and had a great time. A CM told me that she thought that was the slowest party since it started. We had ALOT of fun. Just be careful with your belongings whereever you go, don't learn the hard way like us. We're hoping to go back in December, 2007. Thanks for all the info I learned before going, Linda

I am so sorry to hear that... bless your heart.. I know its the pics you miss the most! Again.. I am so sorry! :grouphug:

I am sorry that you lost your camera, but am glad that you had a great time.

I am so sorry to here that, pictures are something that can not be replaced! :sad1:

Thats the biggest problem with the feeling of eutopia you get at Disney. You forget that they will let anyone and everyone in.

Our Sixflags had a band of theives that were stealing the backpack and pocketbooks of people while they were on the rides second cars.

I think they caught a group of them the one day we were there. It was an entire family.

That's horrible! I am so sorry too hear it. :grouphug:
I know that sinking feeling. Last year I left mine on the magical express bus going home and realized it in the airport. I was ready to cry. I went to the ME desk and they got a hold of the driver. Thankfully, it was returned to me. I wish you had the same ending.

I've often heard of people leaving belongings behind and having them "stolen" only to find out a kind soul thought they were lost/in danger and gave them to the CMs.
Have you tried calling the Lost & Found?

I am so sorry that you lost those pics :( :( :( I agree with a previous poster, I would put another call into Lost and Found, just in case.

On our June trip, we managed to 'lose' our video camera, camera, and autograph books (at the end of the week) at separate times and fortunately they all ended up showing up or being turned into lost and found. Keep trying!

We were at Halloween Horror nights at Universal 3-4 years ago, as we are every year, and I had just bought this new cell phone that was so thin and small compared to the phones back then. It fell out of my purse as we walked through the gates. My huband saw it fall, thank gosh! I still ended up leaving it in a bathroom. I was so upset cause it was an awesome phone, that I paid alot for compared to now. I thought I'll never get it cause there are so many young people there. Someone found it and thought they scored. Well, on the way out we passed the Lost and Found and I said let me just go back and check. Sure enough someone brought it there. I couldn't believe it! It made me remember there are honest people out there. I'd call Lost and Found like they said.

Very sorry that you lost your camera ~ Glad that you had a good time thou.

Wow I'm so sorry that happened to you. I left our camera, camcorder, packages and everything in our stroller and nothing was ever missing. I guess we were just lucky.

My digital camera was stolen out of my locker at Blizzard Beach. I guess you really can't count on a locker to protect your valuables. It was a tough lesson to learn and tarnished my Disney experience. My guess is that many keys are not turned in and some people take advantage of the fact that people think that the lockers are safe for valuables.

The camera was not lost, unfortunately it was stolen. It was hanging on our stroller handle and could not have came off without someone taking it off. We checked with lost and found that night and then the following week when we were there for another MNSSHP. When we went the week after they said they only keep items for 24 hours and gave us a phone number to call. We called and the camera was not turned in. We were foolish for leaving it on our stroller but just wanted to let everyone know that you can get something stolen from WDW, don't let all the wonderful atmosphere give you a false sense of security. Unfortunately, this is the world we live in and not everyone has a conscience and some people are bad people whether their in WDW or not. Thank you to all who sent kind words. Linda

Linda,

It's truly too bad that your camera was stolen. Maybe this person has since found his/her conscience and returned the camera to lost/found. Maybe someone in the traveling party asked about it...It might not hurt to give Lost & Found another call...just to see. After that, do as you have done, warn others and then move on. Hoping that with a little :wizard: someone will send it back to Disney...

I'm so sorry that some scum bag stole your camera . I read that alot of digital cameras are stolen for pictures of children to post on the internet, bunch of perverts! Good thing your camera was empty.

HUGS, that sucks. It's not so much the camera as that is replaceable but the priceless pictures on it.

Hope luck will hold out for you and it returns.

Unfortunately, the camera was not empty. We had a lot of pictures of my son and daughter in the camera (they're 3 year old twins). Gosh, I would be sick to think of some stranger having their pictures. I just hope they delete all of our pictures. I was just so sad, because the last few pictures were of them going to preschool on their first day. I can just picture my daughter with a big smile holding her little bookbag. It's just a camera and can be replaced but I'm sad about our pictures. I won't let it ruin my memories of our wonderful vacation. Thanks everyone, Linda

So sorry to hear about your situation. We never leave anything in the stroller except for drinks and snacks in the bottom. I am always thinking the worst about people unfortunately. I would surely check back with lost and found. Maybe that fool came to his/her senses.
