The pools were on the cool side. Not unbearable, but cool. We first tested the quiet pool. Too cold to get in. I've heard the quiet pools are cooler, so no bigee - we would go in the hot tub. The hot tub was cold! We went over to the main pool, and as I said, it was definitely not the "disney warm" that we're used to. But once we were in it was fine. Mind you though, the temps were in the 90's.

They still haven't fixed that hot tub at VWL? Wow.

We were there the first of October and the hot tub was COLD. As a matter a fact, there was a small snake in it one day while I was there and luckily an older lady saw it before I decided to cool off in the hot tub. If that snake had went across my lap or chest, I probably would have passed out. I saw a Disney CM pass by and I yelled for help with the snake and he got the snake out of the hot tub. He called it a water snake.

We also saw a huge snake by the wooden walkway over to the VWL. It was laying off to the side in the brush by the pathway to the buses. This snake had a diamond pattern on its belly. It was very fat and looked like it had swallowed a rabbit or something. It was probably 6 to 7 feet long.
