Just got back from an 8 night stay at the World. We split our stay between VWL (2 nights) and BWV (6 nights). Our home resorts are VWL and BCV so it was nice to stay at VWL to try it out. It was fabulous! VWL is really great. I could tell just pulling up to the lodge I was going to like it a lot. Whoever said that pictures don't do it justice hit it right on the nose. No picture does it justice. You need to see it in person. The lobby is beautiful. And the staff at VWL was very, very courteous. We were on the fourth floor at VWL in a studio room. The studios are not a bad size at all. There were three of us and we were just fine with the size of the room, although eight nights would have been pushing it. The rooms at VWL were still in great condition. I think that it is really great at night as well. The best thing about VWL is that you forget you're at Disney World. It is so quiet there. Boardwalk was of course just great. That has been my favorite resort for a few years now and probably will always be. The staff there was not so courteous, which was a bit disappointing. And for those of you that said it was in need of renovation you were right! They are still working on it, but it is pretty close to being done. Our room was awesome. We had a dedicated one bedroom unit room number 3001 and it had a Boardwalk view. Our room was in great condition and we didn't notice any noise from anyone around us (probably because we were the room farthest from the elevators). But that Boardwalk view at night is spectacular. I'm spoiled for life. It seemed that there was a lot more of the entertainment (card tricks, etc) on the Boardwalk then I remember which was great. It was hard to leave!! I did get to meet my guide though and he is just great. I did walk through the models and they look very nice. We also walked over to the Beach Club Villas and took some pics of the outside. They are pretty much done and boy are they pretty.

Any questions just ask!!

Welcome back. Thanks for the report.

please post your pictures if you can! thanks for the great trip report. I am so happy that you loved VWL.

Great to hear such a nice report! We will be at VWL in 15 days! Staying there four days, then on to BWV for the remainder of our trip (9 days). VWL is our home, but I am looking forward to trying out BWV.

niks81...this really is one of the things we love about the VWL. It's so different from other areas of WDW, and a great place to retreat after a day in the parks.

Nice report, and I'm glad you had a great trip!

thanks for the report, I am staying at BWV for the first time 12/29 -1/02 and now I am more excited than usual!!:)
