We just returned from our honeymoon at the Vistana Resort from Sept. 14-21. I requested the Cascades section after reading posts in here, and we got it! It was a great room, 2 bedroom, good size, very clean and quiet. I have nothing bad to say about the resort, we had a great time and there were no problems. We did end up going for the timeshare sales tour. They gave us a $50 check for attending. I told the sales woman up front that we were not going to buy, so the meeting only lasted about a half hour. On top of the check we also got $20 off of park tickets, so it was worth it. The only problem we had (and this really isn't a big deal, but it was annoying), was that the bottom sheet on the bed wasn't a fitted sheet, it was just a top sheet tucked into the bed, so we always woke up sleeping on just the mattress since the sheets would always come undone.
The weather was terribly hot when we were there, and we really didn't want to walk around parks, so we just went to MGM for a few hours and then spent the day at Typhoon Lagoon (which we loved!) We were just there the beginning of Feb. this year (stayed at All-Star Movies and HATED it for many reasons )and did all the parks, so this time we just mostly relaxed. (By the way, the weather in late Jan. early Feb. is great for anyone who is interested. It was in high 60's , low 70's while we were there in Feb. And it wasn't busy at the parks at all, we never waited over 10 minutes for anything.) We also went to Ripley's, which we didn't really think was worth it.
