We just finished a 13 night stay in a value 1 bedroom at Jambo. We typically stay in a studio, but this was a really nice change! We LOVED having the washer and dryer. We had a wonderful savanna view.
The only problems we had were:
The sofa would NOT pull out. We had to call maintenance to help us. The guy told DH that happens pretty frequently.
On our second full cleaning day the housekeeper did very little. When she was finished the kitchen trash was full, we had no washcloths and only 2 hand towels, we had no laundry detergent, the floor wasn't vacuumed. I am pretty sure she didn't touch anything in the kitchen. Basically she cleaned the bathroom and changed the sheets. Oh, and she picked up the tip envelope.
I was mad, but I was going to let it go until my son went to take a shower and we had no washcloths. I called Housekeeping and told them we needed wash cloths & laundry soap, and I needed to know what I was supposed to do with my full bag of trash. They sent a runner with the supplies, and he took the trash as well.
Bus service was really good the first week, the second week things were getting a little more crowded. Next year I think we may do the first week at Jambo and the second week at Kidani. We ate at Sanaa and spent some time wandering around Kidani and we definitely want to give it a try.
We did the Bay Lake tour but we weren't interested in owning there. We did add another 50 pts. at AKV.
