Our extended vacation included 2 days at IOA/UNI and a 2 night stay at Portofino. I was surprised at the express lines on the 20th and 21st. We have traveled to Universal this time of the year for the past 3 years and I have never seen the express lines so long. We did get to ride RRR after a 90 minute wait. I took the advice of Barb and rode the back row and it was a great ride. Besides the long lines I was disappointed that only one side of MIB was running. This completely changed the ride. Overall the parks and hotel were great.

What did you think of the Portofino? Do you travel with kids?
How long of a wait in the express line?

We feel the Portofino is the best hotel on the property. A few years back we stayed at the RPH and on our last day we went to the Portofino to swim. Since that time we have stayed there. Our DS12 and DS21 were both with us. This year we did notice a few cutbacks as there always seemed to be a wait at the front desk, the club did not have as many offerings and they closed the oriial locationof Gelletaria and moved it next to Sal's.

The one positive change when they moved the Gelataria next to Sal's is that it is open an hour later. At this it was this July. It always seemed like we were too late to get our gelatos before.

Hope you had a wonderful time. How were the queues for Simpsons, Mummy, etc. I´ll be traveling in about 22 days! LAst year they weren´t bad at all during the same month. :thumbsup2

Thanks for sharing. Are you going to write up a trip report?

The express lines seemed longer than I remember. Hulk was about 20 minutes, DD 15 min, Simpsons 20 to 25 and Mummy about 10. The worst was Poseidon which was about a half hour.

I am thinking about doing a trip report but just trying to catch up at this point. After Universal we went on a 7 day Disney cruise.

This ride definitely looks worth the wait, whether 90-min or longer. Am looking forward to this.:thumbsup2 Did the audio work properly? I've heard from some people that they are still getting all the kinks out as far as ride soundtrack.

Glad you had a fun vacation.

We were at the parks the 26-28 and other than RRR, the rides were walk ons with express.

We rode rockit 3 times. No problems with audio whatsoever. It really was an enjoyable part of the ride.
