She really enjoyed anything we took her on, and sat extremely well, which even surprised us!!! She never moved during Philharmagic, and even wore the glasses! We went on some rides 5 and 6 times! This trip was all about her, my DH and I weren't really concerned about getting on rides ourselves.
Our day typically went like this-wake up around 7, we usually let her wake up on her own instead of setting an alarm. We would eat breakfast in the room and then head over to a park. We stayed at BWV which was helpful becuase we didn't have to fold up the stroller as much. By the way, we brought our larger Jeep jogging stroller, and we were glad we did. The big basket came in handy and she was very comfortable in it. We would do all of her rides/shows in the AM, then eat counter service for lunch. We would then usually hop to a different park by walking or monorail, and she would fall asleep around 2 or so. The first day we went back to the room while she was sleeping in the stroller, and as soon as we got back to the room-she woke up!! SO that was a big waste of time, we never did that again.
While she slept, DH and I would shop or take turns on some of the bigger rides (Soarin', Test Track). She would usually wake up around 4 or so, and then we would head back to the resort to change for dinner. I would bring her PJ's and change her around 7 or so, and then we would watch fireworks, etc. Most nights we would take a slow walk home from Epcot or MGM or walk around the Yacht and Beach Club and she would fall asleep in her stroller. THen we would just plop her in the crib.
We had a "down" day one day where we were back in the room by 1, and she took a 3 hour nap in her crib, which was great b/c we had ADRs at California Grill that night.
As far as food goes, she ate a lot of fries and chicken nuggets, which she enjoyed. I think her favorite meal was Le Cellier, which was a dish of spaghetti, she ate almost all of it. She also really liked the Cheese Soup and Breadsticks. She also had a dish of vanilla ice cream at every restaurant, adn most came with Mickey shaped sprinkles, which kept her busy for a while!! Usually, my DH would sneak into a store and buy her a small toy before we went to our sit down dinners to keep her entertained.
We did buy her a lot of souviniers- two light up toys, coloring books, stickers, etc. We also got her the Pal Mickey, but that was for us too!!
Here are my tips that really helped us a lot:
1. Use the Baby Care Centers--they are so helpful.
2. Bring a comfy stroller, regardless of how heavy it is.
3. Keep some small, new toys on hand to keep them entertained at restaurants.
4. Change them into PJs at night in case they fall asleep.
5. Take juice/milk/snacks into the park, sometimes they are hard to find.
6. Keep a blanket in the stroller to drape over the shade to block out the sun.
7. Take an extra outfit-leaky diapers, spilled food, happen all the time.
Things we would do differently:
-Not have such high expectations!!!!! My DH and I LOVE Disney, and our DD loves Minnie, Mickey, Princesses, JoJo, etc. We thought she would just jump right in and be thrilled with everything immediately. Well, we failed to remember that our DD is not really a "jump right in" kind of kid. It takes her a while to get used to any new situation. SO when she was initially less than thrilled with the characters and rides, my DH and I were extremely dissapointed. When we stepped back and let her become used to things at her own pace, we began to enjoy the trip a lot more. By the last day, the only thing she wanted to do was hug the characters! So, she had the reaction we had hoped for, but it just took some time.
Hope I answere all the questions... I'd be happy to answer any more.
