Just got back from a great trip on the 3 day Wonder cruise.

Here are some quick observations:

We had a catagory 6 room .. aft. I have heard that it's best to stay foward ... but we found aft great. Very close to all the restuarants, pool, buffets. Mid ship is just a hop away too. Found that we only had to go foward for the spa, shows and shopping. (Maybe once a day?)

Verandah - not sure how I feel about it. It was nice. Didn't use it very much. Once for breakfast ... and a few times when I was uneasy at night due to the rocking it helped to go out and look around, see that all was ok.
I think we would have used it more if there was a breeze .. you really do not get much of a breeze on the verandah. We preferred to go up on deck to sit.

Service - Great!! We were very happy with our service team at dinner. Tamas was wonderful. He went out of his way to make sure we were happy. If something was not 100% right .. they fixed it .. no they WANTED to fix it. Such a genuine concern for our happiness. One night Tamas even went to another restaurant to get the dessert my hubby had liked from the night before. Our assistant server Preetcha (or something like that) was great as well. We tipped a little extra because these two made our dinners wonderful.

Food - Dinner was great to excellent at the three rotation places
If you did not like something, they were quick to bring you something else. Animators - the veal chop was out of this world. Parrot Cay - the prime rib and rib eye were both out of this world....oh, and I got Med-rare prime rib even though they don't offer that as a choice. Tritons - the fried camenbert and cauliflower soup were great but the tenderloin only got an ok. We didn't care for the sauce too much.

Over all we gave the three sit down dinners an excellent.

The other food on the ship .. left something to be desired. We mostly did the buffets .. the first day lunch was pretty good ... but the buffet breakfast and Nassau day lunch on board were not up to par. Sit down breakfasts were ok. Cookies was OK.

Next time .... we will do Tritons for lunch on Nassau day for sure.

Room service - limited menu but tasty at 12am after a night of cocktails and dancing.

Kids Club - AWESOME. My 6 year old loved it. They did tons with them and I found the balance between activities and free time perfect.

Flounders - AWESOME - My two year old called it "his club" and we had the same sitters everytime who were great with him. He ASKED to go back the last day and they were able to fit him in.

Reservations rush - ???? Huh? Unless you want very specific times .. don't worry. Hubby was able to get his hair cut making ressies the same day. I got a spa treatment making ressies the 2nd day of the cruise ... and on the last day we got Flounders with two hours notice. We had a full ship.... maybe this was just luck of the draw that we were able to do this.

Entertainment - 70's party - great! Hercules - OK. Dreams - A bit of disney magic in that one :-) Really liked it!!

Casatway Cay - NEAT! We are not beach people but pulled ourselves off the boat for a while to play in the sand and water with our kids. The island is beautiful and we really enjoyed it.

Gosh .. I can't think of anything else.

Other than to say that we are VERY SATISFIED with our cruise. Hubby is very hard to please and he wants to go back. We did see a few miserable, complaining people on board .. but I'm sure they are miserable complaining people everywhere.

I will write a full trip report .. because there are just so many little things that made this trip so awesome. I have already been looking at dates for our next one!

I can't wait to read your full report! It sounds like you had a very nice time. I hope our cruise (19 May) goes just as nicely. Dh is also hard to please and is NOT excited about going on the ship. This is MY cruise...I'm really hoping to change his mind about cruising. (He'd rather be skiing! ;) )
The meals sound so yummy! (for the most part) I'm anxious about the clubs and Flounders...I'll have one in each group. They are very shy kids and kinda still stuck to Mommy much of the time. I don't plan on booking Palo's just for that reason. One of them is bound to refuse to go to the club on whatever night we get. We do plan on booking a surial mud bath and they will HAVE to go to the clubs then! That's the only time I plan on MAKING them "enjoy" the clubs.;)

Oh, I'm just getting so excited! :bounce:

I was the one who wasn't excited about going on the cruise. Motion sickness (never felt the ship move!), inside cabin with no window (wasn't in there long enough to do anything but shower and sleep, activities which don't really require a window), won't no anyone on the ship besides DH (everyone was so friendly)and on and on. But I wanted to go to WDW, and the only DH would agree was if we tried the cruise.

I, too, had a WONDERful experience on our four day last May, and can't wait until my trip in December! I'm glad to see you liked to food. DH and I enjoyed the food and the service tremendously.

I can't wait to read your trip report.

Incredibly, I'm still working on mine almost a year later. I finally found my pictures from Castaway Cay this weekend, so I'll post a message when they've been posted!

This is making me more excited - if that is possible. We go July 28th and I also have a daughter who is a little clingy but we're hoping she takes advantage of the club. Did you do anything in Nassau or since this is our first cruise should be just enjoy the ship? Thanks for any info.
