Just back from the WL (8/11)

Had a magical 4-night stay at the WL. Requested and received complimentary upgrade from standard to courtyard view - nice view of the villas and villas pool. Clean, comfortable room. Great mousekeeping. Experienced the wonderful treasure of Whispering Canyon for the first time - excellent restaurant! Weather was a bit dicey the first couple of days, but cleared up and became hot and humid as usual. Parks were crowded - lots of families having fun! Any questions, just ask.

Glad you enjoyed WL. It is one of my all time favorites. The Whispering Canyons is great and needs to be experienced by all. Can't wait to go back. I wanted to go back but DH wanted to try AKL. Think I will love that one as well. But plan on making a trip to Whispering Canyon just for fun.

7 wks from tomorrow and we leave for our first trip "home" to the VWL! It took us 3yrs but we're finally going "home"!

Hi, we are going to the WL too, I was wondering how you requested the complementary upgrade. Did you just ask them if you could have a complementary upgrade? And is the view the only difference between Standard, Woods view and the room you had?

We just got back from WL too. They gave us an upgrade from standard to Courtyard without asking. Upon check in the CM just said "your room has been upgraded to a courtyard view". To which I was very appreciative!!!

They've upgraded us everytime we've been without asking. :

The last time we stayed their they upgraded us to a woods view. We have another WL trip coming up in a few weeks and it will be less crowded so I am hoping for a free concierge upgrade(just kidding).

We are going to WL the weekend of 9/11 and hoping for an upgrade too. We have a woods view booked....
