Just got back this past Friday night from the Swan and what a great trip!!!!

It was very hot but the crowds weren't bad at all. The floridian kids had started school the week prior so the crowd size was cut down tremendously. It's why we go when we do.

To all of those who I spoke to prior to my leaving well I told you about that surprise? Well I had three rooms!!!! I had a grand suite and it was wonderful! My DH and I had a king bedroom, the boys had two queens and their own bathroom and the middle room was a parlor area with a huge table and chairs, sofa, sidechairs, television, wetbar and a large bathroom. I must say..it was real nice having 3 bathrooms!!!! It was truly a "Magical" vacation.

I never saw any of the pool activities while I was at the pool but I had heard they don't start until around 12:00 and I was usually gone by then. I never saw the "dive-in"movie either since it was only held on Saturday nights and we were usually somewhere in Disney. They post fliers around the hotel to let you know they are holding it.

I noticed there were some new Disney buses, much larger ones even though I never had the chance of being on one of them. The new system of putting the two fingers into the machine when you scan your park ticket was a pain because mine never seemed to work and they had to always check my card some other way to make sure it was paid for.

Soarin is a must!!!! That is a fantastic ride and we must have done it about 10 times during our 13 day stay. Fast passes run out quick for that ride so try to get them early when the park opens.

Sorry to make this short but I'm still doing some laundry and am almost finished. I did laundry twice while I was there but I just have alot and bought alot.

I just can't believe how fast it went!!!! I'm already in a depressiona and can't look at my pictures without getting upset. :guilty:

Thanks for the review. Sounds as if you had a wonderful time.

Help me remember....did you know you had a grand suite or was it an upgrade?

sounds wonderful!

Glad to hear you had a great trip. Sounds like we had 2 of the 3 rooms you had our last trip. Ours was called the executive king suite (rms 337 & 339). We had the palor and a king room. I believe the connecting door on the other side of the palor would have connected to another room, probably a queen which would make it a grand suite I believe?? Were the rooms located close the elevator? I got lost in ours, I kept losing track of which closet and bathroom I put things in LOL!! But, it was great! It's so roomy!!

I bet it was REALLY HOT as we've been experiencing hotter than normal temps this past week (as if FL isn't hot enough in the summer!) Hopefully you had some spray bottles with you.

Did you eat at any of the restaurants at the S/D?

Remember I said when they booked my trip that I had the 2 requested rooms I wanted plus a surprise? They wouldn't tell me the surprise but when they told me my room numbers and there were 3 of them I knew then and she also told me it was a grand suite. It was absolutely wonderful! Nothing like having 3 bathrooms!!!! It truly spoiled me.

Yes, the rooms do sound similar so a grand suite has the extra bedroom with the double queens. We had rooms 727, 728 and 730. We weren't by the elevator, rather the second to the last at the end of the hall.

We ate at a few restaurants at the Swan and made alot of stops to Tubbies for grocery items. We went to Palio twice because their food is to die for, especially dessert, the cheesecake souffle! Anyone going there must get that dessert. You have to wait 15 mins. for it because they have to make the souffle. My DH and I went to Kimonos a couple of times and we went to Gulliver's Grill. Some nights we were totally exhausted and just ordered room service which was a first for me. I never ordered room service in my life before so it was a special treat.
