DD & I just returned from a long weekend at the Poly. 
What a great stay!
ME was quick and easy. Our bus had four stops. WL was first and we were second. It was also going to the CR and GF. (I was happy that we stopped at WL first. The Christmas decorations on the outside alone were absolutely beautiful! I'd love to see the inside!!)
We arrived around 10:30am and were totally excited to find that our room was ready! Not only was it ready, but it was in the building I requested: 3rd floor of Tokelau.
Our room overlooked the quiet pool, which was a highlight for DD. It was right across from the elevators. I was a little worried about noise but any doubts I had were gone as soon as I went out on the balcony! We had an awesome view of the MK!!!!!
Last year we had to lean over the balcony to see it but we were the end room this year and didn't have to lean over at all. LOL! We could see easily see Wishes. The music was piped in on the speakers so it was truly special for us. BTW, we didn't experience any problems with elevator noise. I know others have but we got lucky.
The weather was hot and humid on Saturday! Very, very humid but great for swimming. There was an occasional spotty shower but it was over before it started. The temps dropped on Sunday and it was windy. We swam because the pool was pretty warm. You just had to stay under the whole time! By Monday it was just plain cold, even to us northerners!
The crowds weren't bad at all. We were at MK early on Sunday and walked onto many rides. We did Big Thunder Mountain three times in a row. It took more time to walk up the mountain than it did to get on the ride!!! Things got busier as the day went on but we never waited more than 10 minutes for a ride.
Mousekeeping was so-so but no serious issues. There was mold in the corners of the tub (eeww!) but it didn't bother me that much. (I just didn't look down when I took a shower!) Service was slow. We came back from swimming at 4pm on Sunday and they still hadn't come. As I was changing out of my swimsuit I said to myself, "Watch them come right now". Of course, that's exactly what happened!!
We didn't get any towel animals but I know not to expect that and it's not a big deal.
There were tons of "Alohas" from the staff which thrilled DD. The grounds were beautiful. The Christmas decorations were very pretty but they didn't knock my socks off.
All in all, a wonderful trip! We had a fantastic time and can't wait to return!!!
