Well, once again we woke to mickey mouse. Today was the big breakfast. Secretly, I think I was more excited than the kids. The girls looked adorable in their dresses. They were so excited! We had an 8:50 seating. We arrived about 8:30 or so and they took us right in. I was very happy about that. Well, the faces on my girls when they first saw Cinderella was unforgetable. They served us breakfast, which was very good by the way, and once again they were very accomadating to my son. Then the princesses, one by one, came to our table - Mary poppins and Snow White gave my son a kiss on the forehead. He looked so cute with 2 kisses on his head. But no one compared to Cinderella. The girls' faces lit up when she came over. The funny thing was she said to the girls "oh what beatiful dresses, did your fairy godmother make them?"
All the characters at this breakfast were very sweet - they took pictures, signed autograph books, took more pictures. This was our first character breakfast so we didn't know what to expect, and we had such high expectations - we were pleasantly surprised. The girls really enjoyed themselves!!!! It was a great beginning to our trip.
On our way out of the breakfast, we saw the Fairy Godmother and took pictures with her. She also commented on their dresses. Thank goodness my kids are young enough that things go right over their head.
We then went to see Ariel. We waited about 10 minutes and took a picture with her. She added a kiss to my son's cheek. My DH was getting very jealous at this point!
After that we were pretty wiped out and the girls were hot in their dresses, so we took the ferry back to the hotel. We get on the ferry and guess who was upstairs...Chip & Dale and Pluto. There was hardly anyone on the ferry, so i took the girls upstairs and they had Chip & Dale and Pluto all to themselves. Of course the video camera was downstairs with daddy in the stroller, but I had my camera and took some pictures. Chip & Dale played ring around the rosey with them - it was so cute. Then Pluto held their hands and walked them off the boat. It was great.
We went o the pool to cool off. It wasn't as crowded as the day before. The kids had a great time.
That night we went to Epcot. DH and DD immediatey got a fast pass for Mission Space, and then DH tried to get one for Test Track, but the FP was done for that ride that night. We went to eat - counter service and then went back to Mission Space. Both DH and DD said it was awesome!!
We then started to walk around. We were disappointed to find that some things close earlier than the park (at 7:00). The only thing opened in the area we were in was Honey I shrunk the Audience. Okay, this is where I made the BIGGEST mistake of our trip. I took my girls to see this show. 3 minutes into the show I had to leave - my kids were scared. Apparently I wasn't the only one. As I was walking outside, there was a line of parents consoling their kids. Warning, this show is frightening. It is in 3D and scary things come at you. It doesn't help that the whole audience is screaming. Well, needless to say, my 3 year old was petrified to go into anything the rest of the trip!
We stayed for the fireworks which were wonderful and then headed back to the hotel for some much needed sleep.
Until tomorrow....
