I am a little emotional writing this so bear with me because my family and I had such a wonderful time at the resort and just a truly magical experience at the Magic Kingdom.
We arrived at the Grande Vista this past Friday around 10:00am. As you drive up the long, winding, driveway, we knew were arriving at something "special".
We pulled up at the security gate and I let the attendant know my name and after he confirmed my reservations, he lifted the gate and let us pass. We were truly speechless at the awesome beauty of the Grande Vista.
I don't have much time (at work) so I'll write as much as I can. Since we got there so early and check in was not until 4pm, the room was not ready but the staff took my cell number and promised to call me as soon as it was ready.
We (Myself, DH, DD16 and DS5) headed to Downtown Disney for lunch and they called around 12:30 to tell me it was ready.
We were placed in the building 94 (Magellan) building. I reseved a 3bedroom villa and were assigned to rooms 4423/4424. The best part about this was it was still 1 door and when you walk in, you enter a small foyer leading to one door on the left (4423) and 1 door to the right (4424).
Walked in and it was HUGE....DD16 had the studio lock-out room, her own bath, kitchenette, private balcony, DS5 had the middle guestroom and of course DH and I had the master bedroom. Truly georgeous. Immaculate and clean. Service was on point at.all.times.
I have nothing to report bad. We had a beautiful golf course view and I enjoyed my coffee on the patio every morning. It was so peaceful and quiet.
There was a large 2-person jacuzzi in the tub which DH and I found extremely useful after a long day at MK. We got home at Midnight and was exhausted.
We rented the duck/swan paddle boats from the Harbor master at $12 for 30 minutes and took a cruise around the lake...so peaceful.
We did not get a chance to eat a Nick's Grill but since they have a Pizza Hut on site (DH's absolute favorite), we took advantage of that and we were SO happy. They do have the Marketplace which is a mini grocery store/Starbucks, and we found their prices reasonable.
We did not get a chance to swim because the weather was a little too chilly for our taste and we were away from the property alot.
The distance to the Disney World exits were not bad, we took I-4 and were iwthin Disney World in 10 minutes. At first we kept taking the Florida turnpike until the cashier gave us the I-4 tip
Sea World is literally across the street so this is an excellent location if you are going to Sea World.
That's all I can think of for now. DH is cleaning up the photos and I really want to post pictures so you guys can see the rooms.
Please let me know if you have any questions and I will be more than glad to answer them because I don't know what I would have done without the disboard.
